I’m honestly gonna have to go with SM64’s staff roll music over the Galaxy games. While the Galaxy games staff roll tracks are an incredible achievement in terms of more formal orchestral composition, especially the first game’s incredibly epic soundtrack as a whole, it’s the softer melodic flow of the SM64 end theme that just feels more intimate and personal, and I think that’s why most people tend to have the most powerful emotional reactions and responses to it……

I agree. I have heard many credits themes over the years, but Super Mario Galaxy has the best one in gaming imo. I had so many fond memories from the games, especially the first one. I couldn't 100 % it back then, but I could do it now and it was worth it for the memories and to finally 100 % the game as Mario. Odyssey got really close on being my favorite, but Galaxy 1 can be played as much as you want and is overall more memorable. Super Mario Galaxy is not only my favorite Mario game, but also one of my favorite games of all time. Mario may not be my absolute favorite franchise, but it is the most memorable and important. Without Mario and Luigi, then the games we all love now wouldn't exist and gaming would be a footnote in the world.

Watching this makes me feel so happy for all the memories I’ve made and then sad because of how much fun I used to have and now all of the physical memories are gone. I miss my copies of NSMB DS and NSMB2, I lost them a while ago and didn’t realize until now how sad I was and still am that the only remains of those memories are in my head. The worst part is that I got those games for my Birthday, it was always a tradition to buy a Mario game for my Birthday but now 2 of them are gone.

I miss being able to play Mario games for hours on end without a care in the world. Playing them now doesn't feel as fun or whimsical as when I was a small child. I never got frustrated and would always play the final boss just to see the credits. Now I can't do that anymore. I don't have the time or patience as I used to. I only have fun while play multiplayer with my friends because I allow myself to mess around and have fun. I miss being a 7 year old

I really love the ending theme of Mario 64 so much the ending music for it gets me everytime it gets me sad when I know the music is almost done and finishes beautifully letting you know that your hard work of your adventure is over you’ve done your part peace is finally restored to the mushroom kingdom but me as a player has a part of me that’s happy that the hard work adventure had payed off but part of me doesn’t want the adventure end because you had so much fun in the world and adventure that you just had I love it when video game credits ends off your adventure like that
