The monster handlers didn’t have to redesign the map again, but they did, because they care about their audience, something very rare in any gaming industry nowadays, not just mobile

I know many were used to the old map, but comparing the 2.2.4 Map to the 4.2.0 Map shows exactly why it needed a change like this. The new one is amazing, especially for having notification icons. Hopefully they iron out the loading further in the future.

And to think that this game started off with just _two_ islands when it’s in alpha (three if you count Air Island coming soon), and it would’ve ended with the release of Gold island…the game wouldn’tve lasted as long as it does now…11 years of still running, gaining players, working with frequent updates, and have over HOURS of content to enjoy, all in one game that was once as small as having only two islands to have their songs waiting to be completed, leading up to Air Island’s release weeks later. I first joined MSM when it was in the midst of its hiatus of releasing islands, until the release of Celestial Island, roughly around 2017-2018 when Wublin Island is still releasing new Wublins every month, up until Celestial Island’s release.

I remember the version 1.2.4 map when I first started playing the game. Back when it was just an Island Menu, then the map with the release of Wublin Island, then the carousel map we’ve had for so long, and now this new glorious map of the Monster World. Oh, the nostalgia! And I have to say the new Map theme just makes me feel at peace.

That period in MSM is nostalgic for me because I still vividly remember watching the tribal islands #playyourpart trailer and being so excited on what the heck that actually meant. 0:53 this one might be my favorite other than the current one.
