I think it's RNG. The first time I played ds1 like 10 years ago I was running around his boss room for 20 minutes before dying without being able to get it because he kept turning immediately when I tried to hit it. But just a few months ago on my most recent playthrough I went back there and he never even turned once I just got it super easily

@Sonic-Tonic- nah... I didn't replay it over and over... OK, I did replay it few times to prepare different builds and setups. Chalice dungeons were torture, but I did them anyway. Gems, alt weapons and stuff... But after that I did countless invasions, helped beginner streamers with difficult bosses and areas (I'd they asked), helped to organize countless battle club tournaments, where we did some crazy battles like 3v3, also we did some max stat PvPs with no restrictions... That was fun.

There is nothing easy about getting the moonlight, great sword from dark souls one. By the time you get behind him to cut on his tail, he starts to turn around or he starts doing a tail bash, which is almost instantaneous death.

It was easy in the original release, they changed some things in the Remaster, like making either some, most, if not all enemies and bosses A.I. more aggressive and more reactive to your inputs than before. Which is why Seath constantly moves around, he also did the same in the original release but I felt as though it was a lot easier, could be a memory thing. Just use multiple Alluring Skulls and throw it away from you, see if that works.

You heard that right, there's a character named Seath in Kings Field and is associated with the Moonlight Sword, albeit it inversely. I guess the moonlight is more legit in bloodborn than the one in elden ring. In bloodborne, the moonlight is only avaible in the dlc but in the lore the other greatswords used by the hunters are copy of the original moonlight so a piece of the lore is based on this sword. Also in elden ring the name isn't really moonlight, it's darkmoon and it's light color is more blue than the other wich are more green

For dark souls 3 you didnt show the weapon moonlight greatsword, but instead the spell old moonlight which you get from darkeater midir. The moonlight greatsword seen in old moonlight is not the moonlight greatsword from any souls game, but its model is actually the same moonlight greatsword seen in the earlier kings field games. In that sense, Dark Souls 3 actually has 2 moonlight greatswords, one you get from Oceiros, and the one from midirs spell, the *original* moonlight greatsword.

There's also a pseudo/prototype of the moonlight sword in the game Eternal Ring called the Eternal Sword that looks very similar to the moonlight great sword version from the dark souls games.

The fact that the moonlight great sword had copies made of it. One of which belongs to a dark souls 2 character and is his family sword while the moonlight greatsword is a legendary hunter of the healing church. The holy blades blades were made in testament to honor it as its trick form resembles it in its trick form too. Otherwise, the moonlight greatsword looks just like a relic. Both forms however are damn fun to use

It also appears in Ninja Blade, as the final Great Sword upgrade granted you have collect several hard to obtain special orbs in order to unlock the secret area where it lies.

the divine dragon sword looks like a lightning bolt. Has absolutely no connection or similarities to the moonlight. Just because it glows blue green does not mean it is the "moonlight greatsword." There is absolutely nothing in the game that even hints at it being the MG.

@@Invader_Hex I think you just lack the imagination, but even if not, It sure is the closest thing. Besides, its being used by a crippled white dragon, reminding me of Seath. Glowing in pale-blue-ish green. Its a tradition in every one of their games.
