This is nothing an update can't fix! And it still has all the other sound effects! Such as launching in the beginning, the boost pads and best of all, the item roulette sound.

If you listen in the course intro, it's there. I like to think that this will be like Coconut Mall's cars, that it will be fixed in Wave 3.

Glad to hear that unique item rolling and boost panel sounds again in the dlc, makes me want them to include Waluigi Stadium and Wario Colosseum from Double Dash for next waves. Definitely an improvement from the underwhelming Wave 1

Ashame that Mario Kart 8 waluigi pinball didn't have the ending track sound affect when you pass the gaint waluigi head into the tunnel. Like all the older versions of Waluigi Pinball had it. Sad 😔

Aparently this was also an issue when the track first came out in Tour but they patched it, so hopefully they'll fix it here too. The odd thing is that you CAN hear the sound effect play twice during the into cutscene animation before the race starts, so it IS in the game, it just doesn't trigger properly during the race.

Mario Kart 8 changed the theme? I mean, I guess it sounds fine, personally I can't help but feel that there's a missing instrument here. Still though, why not just use the same theme, especially if you're going to keep using the same sound effects?

Because Mario Kart 8 has a different music style than previous games. It’s all live music. And besides, they already made this theme for DS Wario Stadium.
