As someone who built in this case myself before only with air-cooled parts, I will say that the only way I found aircooled temps to be manageable was to have all the fans operate as intake and pushed hot air out the top. In my opinion, this was definitely made for water cooling in mind. Builds look gorgeous! Fantastic job!

I have this case and an air-cooled GPU (GTX 1080) and have no issues with thermals, I have my CPU AIO on the bottom with dual push/pull fans as an intake, as well as a side fan next to the GPU as an intake, and it never goes over 80C and I have the boost overclocked. All the hot air goes right out the top of my computer with all the positive pressure.

Watercooling the Radeon VII is when they really perk up! The air cooler makes it downclock loads and sound like concorde. It would be good to see a full system done in a small case, i've got a huge case with a 3700x and VII under water and I love it but I hate the size of the case!!!

@robertp4575 жыл бұрын
I've built in the case and it's just not worth the trouble. The case is quite large for the form factor, the air flow is terrible, and it's difficult to find the right parts that will fit. The exhaust fan for the power supply feeds air into the bottom intake fan. The side panels only have small slits on the sides to provide fresh air and one side of the case shares both and intake and exhaust fans. It's a design that needs some work before I can recommend it and, to me at least, it's just not worth the looks.
@GuniBulls5 жыл бұрын
@@RigorousNinja defektis right... Except I will say my PSU exhaust outside, so research your PSU if you do go ahead. I tried this config with a Ryzen 1600 and an EVGA 1080 FTW Hybrid but had massive issues keeping both cooled - and quite often, the system would just crash. Was using a Noctua NFA12-15 and it just wasnt holding up. Removed the second 120mm cooler and put the Ryzen with its stock cooler - running at 72-74 degrees under load but no more issues. I love this case but a few mm wider and it would have been the ultimate dual 120mm radiator rig! People attempting this - also note how WIDE your card is! Much like in this video, my GPU power cables interfered with the fan and took a lot of work to overcome.

This video made me build a very similar setup back in late 2019, still serving me well today. I used a 9700K cooled by a Corsair H60 and an EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC2 Hybrid, Gigabyte Aorus Z390i Pro Wi-Fi. I swapped out the radiator fans for Noctua iPPC ones just because of the color and i also wanted the 2000 rpm mark in case the system needs more aggressive cooling. I’m not really that happy with the temperature though, top fan is exhaust and both CPU and GPU rads are intakes, i tried several other combos but this one seems to work out the best having lowest temps and also less noise, however my temps on average are 73 for the CPU at 4.9GHz and 65 for the GPU at 1924MHz. Undervolting does not help as much as i expected, from my findings the problem with the case itself is that it doesn’t have enough exhaust capacity so heat is building up over time. One thing i tried is i had top fan and GPU rad as exhaust, CPU rad as intake, but that forced me to remove the front panel as heat was being trapped there, cooking up the GPU rad, but with that setup the temperatures were really good, around 10 degrees reduction by just doing that. I am looking forward to migrating the system (or building a new one if the GPU prices and other components prices stabilize and there is no shortage) into a really cool and promising case that you reviewed, Sliger SV590, the second version is out by now and i am really impressed. I also plan on doing a full custom loop given that it has 360mm radiator support which i find is just amazing for a case with that footprint. I hope you take the time to read my comment as you are one of my main sources and inspiration especially when it comes to SFF builds, i really appreciate what you are doing. Thank you and keep the good stuff coming!

I built a system with this case last summer, it looks very classy but isn't very practical inside. I wouldn't recommend building with this case if you're a first-timer, but if you're savage af and want a real challenge, I reckon it's possible to build a full watercooling loop in this thing if you use a compact GPU like a 1080 Mini with a thick 120mm rad and a very small pump/res combo. It wouldn't be practical, but this case is designed to show off, and damn if it isn't amazing to look at!

Those Noctua fans are nice, but it's really rough of them to not include 8 rubber pads of each type. They only give you 4 per colour, which means you can't completely fill out a fan unless you buy the stand alone kit of rubber pads which is really pretty dear. I would suggest they package the fan with fewer colours, but 8 pads per colour. And the two most recent Noctua's I have purchased have had vibrating issues which has been a real anomaly in all my experience with premium fans. Still, can't go past their performance and noise when operating as intended. All in all though, I prefer my case fans to be BeQuiet! Silent Wings 3's and my radiator fans to be Noctua NF-F14s. I know it's a mismatch but I am happy.

My build is intake on bot CPU and GPU rad's, and top fan is exhaust. I'm now looking to cut holes into the front panel as it's clear it's choking for air.

@robertp4575 жыл бұрын
But what about the thermals? How was your video card getting fresh air and where does the hot exhaust go?
@SahilP26485 жыл бұрын
@@robertp457 there are a number of ways you can direct airflow in this case. The way I have done it is used a liquid cooler rad with 2 fans (I think its the H75 from cooler master) and directed air downward out of the case and to the sides. Two 140mm fans direct air inside and directly on the mobo and the GPU (I changed the GPU orientation so the fans face the glass panel). So the case itself should remain cool in theory. I get 65c max on full load on my CPU while my GPU maxes out at 83 capped. The open air test I did with the glass panel removed resulted in around 72c on my GPU. So you be the judge. Overall this case is neat as hell. You get I/O at the top too which is amazing.

Oh yeah I fully agree mate, managed to keep most things in check by a delid and the dual AIO's but it would cook everything else in there and while CPU/GPU temps still weren't the best even after dual AIO's the SSD temps after being on for an extended period of time would be past their safe limits and into degredation levels...
