When it comes time to change the air filters on a service, presumably they have to be ordered from yourselves, so a bit of forethought might be necessary? Nice noise, but I think I would need the quiet option as well just to keep the neighbours happy !!

The Eventuri filters can be cleaned, only need to be replaced if become damaged. This setup is perhaps too full on for most, but OPF delete is a nice balance.

Mine is a 2018 Akra and it’s loud. I have the evolve downpipes sat in my garage and honestly not sure if I should fit them. Surely you need a map to make it worth the cost.

@@rockyrobin710 you need to delete the o2 sensor with some expensive deletes (you don’t need a map to remove the opf/gpf and secondary cats) you do need a map to remove the primary . My point is that just removing the cats is a bit pointless, you do get a gain but you get a smell because it runs really rich. I map reduces that smell and you gain big time on power.

@@rockyrobin710 ya theme the ones. Costs roughly £1500 to fit the the Downpipes and add the stage 2 tune, if you went the evolve route properly £500 to get them fitted and £1600 for the remote tune, unless you went to evolve in which case I think it costs more.

I have literally just been trying to figure out how I can get a comp, pre-opf, but I think they came in round Sept-18, so if there are any, they’re gold dust! I believe there was a second fuel filter added around 2020, which then meant M5 comps were REALLY quietened down (basically zero pops). What is the impact on MOT? What do you have to do to this car to now get it through an MOT?

No cats means no pass on the emissions test, you'd have to either swap the cats back in for the MOT or really get to know your MOT tester

Comp without OPF doesn't exist in Europe, because first Comp was released after the regulations. You can only get a pre-OPF standard M5. Pops and bangs doesn't exist on Comp models made after summer 2019, not sure if it was after June or July. If it has iDrive7 then I definitely does not have pops and bangs.

I have a question if anyone can answer. The back of the exhaust was left stock, downpipes and mid pipes were changed to cat-less which results in more air flow coming out of the engine. Isn’t this a problem because the back of the exhaust has OPFs as well. Now if might not be the case for this pre face lift but I am asking because I have an M5 CS with 4k km only and I don’t want to do anything wrong and damage the car. Would really appreciate an honest answer

I’ll be honest we very rarely just rear box as they make very little difference to overall sound. The OPF is really muting the system, and just removing that gives a very good deep V8 sound without being too loud or droney.

It will run fine, we wouldn’t carry this out for a customer if the end result was not acceptable to us. The cars wideband lambda sensors continue to function, maintaining the AFR at a suitable mixture despite the loss of restriction.

I'm sorry but without the resonators it sounds like ass. I have catless primary and secondary downpipes and stock Comp resonator and mufflers and it's perfect. I can imagine the drone on this set up lol.

Unfortunately on EU models you cannot do just downpipes as this will cause damage to the OPF over time. No drone on this setup, the car is incredibly well insulated and changes gear to stop loading in low RPM
