Hi , thanks for the absolute beginner video . A life saver . I can not work out why my prestige is at 7944 and I am still a civilian . I read somewhere that I have to beat the lowest player in the Knight category to rank up and I did so on both counts yet when the clock re set I stayed a civilian... It is unlikely you are in a server where you need to be overcoming other players in prestige to get to the next rank, as usually there are not 5000 people in a server that obtain knight status.. have you managed to get it to reset to give you knight just yet? Also are you able to check out your ranking in the rank ranking leaderboard?

You don't need to pay but certainly must keep expectations in check. You will never make a dent in any serious spender no matter how smart you can play as a free player. Although obtaining generals and all the needed items to fight well against a majority of players is certainly doable if you have the time to invest in achieving such a goal

You want to have enough gems to use truce agreements, but having constant builds going is the next best thing if you have enough to bubble your city.

They are relatively random I believe. I think they might be released based on certain thresholds such as player count on the previous new server. This means it very well could be automated. These servers are released so often that I'm sure you can get in early on one. I also attempted to do this however found myself in many a bad server across many games. It sometimes can be better to find a good server within the new bunch rather than simply picking the newest one, especially because they may be seperated by 1-2 days each. Although do as you please 😆

This is because your buildings were taking during the server war and therefore you have a temporary debuff on your march speed. You can visually change it by applying a march effect but the march speed debuff will still remain

I've been struggling my way through this awful game for a couple weeks now. All I wanted to do was play the pin pull games. I thought by building the city I would be able to play more complicated pin pull games. But they don't get any harder, and you can only play 6 or 9 games a day.. You will need to upgrade the keep first as this building needs to be upgraded first before upgrading any other building to the same level as the keep.

It depends on what you are planning on building towards, check out what each type of troop requires to build.. depending on whether or not you want to be able to kill bosses and/or participate in PvP this will effect what resource you will need more of. Also you will need to factor in if you would like to gather particular resources from the world map and then make the rest in your city, saving you gold on research in the short term. Although it may be good to have 7-10 army camps when you are first building your army, the best thing to do is build up your keep level rather than having a huge army in the short term, therefore the need for these camps is not as necessary as it is to have resource production. I personally make food and lumber in my city in larger amounts than stone and ore, opting to instead gather those on the world map. Hopefully using this information you can make a decision for your particular situation

Hi there, I have done the recent big update & noticed that the game is quite big for a mobile phone even with a large screen which is where I have been playing it up to now. In the starting of the video u said server no. is 303. What's this method of choosing servers. I'm just starting my adventure, tell me how to choose a good server and btw what's with choosing a server anyway ? What's the motive of choosing a particular no. server ? Server with 350+ works ?

It's not easy to pick a "good" server, as over time they change, sometimes you will get players bullying eachother into quitting on one server whereas the next server number might be banding together to create a mega server that is friendly. The way to avoid this is to simply start on one of the newest servers and take it a day at a time, if you have a bad feeling about the server, take your new experience to another new server, if it isn't too much hassle to start over. Make sure players on the server you choose don't get caught up in things that won't matter in 3 months, as this game is about playing for months in advanced, even years. Work together with everyone else and you should be able to create a server that works for you. As everyone wants to be No 1 in a server or as close as possible, going to the newest 3-5 servers in necessary to not be behind everyone else.

The quickest way is to stick to the quests that you find on the left side of the screen to earn extra rewards that can be opened from your inventory. Also make sure to build up only the buildings required for keep level (where possible) which can be found by clicking the keep upgrade button and anything in red is what you will need to increase the keep. In addition to this you may want to gather resources on the world map by sending troops to the little resource tiles that you see around your city. Also building and upgrading the farms, sawmills, mines and quarries inside your city. It may take a little time to complete your objective because of the availability of speed ups and resources.

You will need to go into your settings -> account -> start new game and delete your current progress. This will then take you to a sever selection screen, choose the highest server number you can (330+ i think) and you will now have a new game in a newer server!

I think in my attack guide i mention this, the arsenal is a good building to use to make sure that the troops that you have are less likely to be killed by having too many, The arsenal building will allow you to upgrade troops rather than just building an entirely newer troop and will give you an opportunity to have an easier time in creating the newer tiers in both resources and time. Although if you compare the resources and time of training a T10 troop, then upgrading it to T11 to the time it takes to simply creating a T11 it will cost more overall. It also has that entry fee of creating the building in the first place anyway, and so it may not always be the best option if you are low on troops anyway (below 400k).

The dragons have various unlock methods but the "first" dragon can be unlocked when the pasture is level 26 and you have a few hundred thousand gems to purchase it outright. Alternatively you have other options at higher level buildings/wonder but this will take some time to obtain.

You will need to go into the settings of the game -> accoun then link your account to one of the linking options, which usually includes google/facebook/apple. Then go into this section on your new phone and click "switch account" then use the same login method as you linked to your account

I play on PC using Bluestacks. There are other options that may work better for you if bluestacks gives you issues however I have not tried those very much. If it freezes when using the application try to lower the settings to ease the strain on your computer. Also be sure to give it 15 seconds to fully load before jumping into google play or evony.

On my server there is so much whining and the top guilds just bully others. Then use so called "Kill Events" to take advantage of others. I say save your gems for truce agreements. lol

You are best to explain to them how useless kill events are in your own sever. The rewards for any individual event by itself are horrid. It's all about killing bosses to get every single item in the game apart from select things that you get from the likes of battlefield and SvS. You can get trillions of resources as an alliance from bosses such as ymirs. Attacking other players to the determinant of your server is idiotic once people realise this. You will get a very small amount of resources etc from attacking others in comparison to just sitting there idle farming the map let alone boss hunting. Let your people know my server is 500 places higher in SvS rankings than our server number purely because of our togetherness at all times.

How do I upgrade alliance banner to alliance city without it disappearing when the 24 hours time is up?

You need to reinforce it with two million power worth of troops total, this can be combined power with other players in your alliance. This advances the building process, therefore more power inside the flag means it builds quicker. Once done you may have to click on it once more to confirm the upgrade. As I haven't had this question in some time I am not aware of the exact power required nor if you need to click another button for sure. The best way to avoid any problems is to commit a lot of troops to the flag with other players and be ready for when the build timer is finished, which is displayed in the info tab or troop tab on the building (when reinforced).

Traps are not used at all by long time players because they die easily, can only have so much attack power (the ceiling is half that of regular troops) and also they cannot be revived from the battlefield events when troops can, they are useful for defending yourself in the first couple months against your own server but won't always be a good option. Mounted troops are not a playstyle, it is fact that they are better for non-event monsters, given this people become so overpowered with mounted troops that it is worth using them on bosses that may be more susceptible to ground, however there is only a couple bosses that is like this anyway.

Thanks for your videos, I truly think of them as my manual in playing Evony, so thank you. I have a question, how do I increase my Troop's power? I am Monarch level 20 with Keep25. I want to be able to beat level 10 bosses if possible. Currently my Troop's power is at 6.1M. I have 200K T10 Cavs, 120K T10 Archers. Are there any specific things I should research? Train more troops? Etc? Really appreciate your help on this. Thanks

Although training troops tends to be the easiest way to gain power, power can be fake when you do that. What's going yo be best is to increase research, level and cultivate generals to be good with one troop type. When attacking boss monsters use a good historic gold general for mlunted troops and only use mounted when attacking, ranged is better for PvP. It's always better to consider doing researches etc over raising your power quickly

It is great to use the advancement tabs although definitely try more of the military, especially on ranged and mounted (pvp ranged, bosses are mounted), anything works but attack stats are better

Hi. Not sure if you still check this but here goes. I noticed my poem of history is showing 0 progress, even for the first event (I am now at keep lvl 12). Any reason for this? I can’t claim the first reward because it’s saying the event has ended.

This event is only open for a limited time during the servers first couple months. After this the event cannot be completed any longer. If you are a new player it may be that you should try a newer server for a better start, although as far as I recall this event is not worth too much to you.

I currently have 300K with troop power at 17.1Million as the max I can send out. I have been doing research in Military and Military Advance.

If you want to be able to fight but without going overboard, you may want to have up to 800k troops and attempt to keep this amount under your hospital capacity or near to it. If you have any more troops than this at your level you will be taking a risk and will have a harder time keeping your troops from eating your food. Alternatively you can purposely focus on having ample troops to gather resources and kill some bosses etc but trying to be quite passive so you may grow faster than most, this will give you an easier time in multitasking and saving resources from troop training to put on permanent increases such as buildings

The chances of winning can sometimes be wrong, you will need to increase the size of your army, increase your academy military researches and upgrade you generals to ensure a win next time. Although subordinate cities are great to have, trying to take them really early on at your level is not always going to have a good cost benefit as they will undoubtedly kill a portion of your troops

When selecting the troops to send for your attack, be it for taking the sub city, or, for attacking something else, make sure you are sending enough power. The power of the troops you are sending is shown in the lower right hand area on the troop selection screen, along with troop load capacity, # of troops, etc. When your castle has a power of say 1 mill, & you attack something, you only use a small portion of your full power. Your base attacking power will be based on your troop level, # of troops you are sending, & your general. So the sub city you are trying to take, you are probably only hitting it with about 150k - 200k power. Other things that will add to you attacking power can be stuff like temp buffs, sub city troops, & of course things researched in the academy, & increased general stats & quality. Hope this helps.

im not entirely sure what you are referring to, you may get help from your alliance members for every building and research. This help amount can be increased through research primarily, therefore making it more worthwhile. It will only be able to be done once per building up to your max (such as 8 helps). This will reset again for your next building

I have never even looked at my rally spot that closely, I dont recall seeing it disappear but either it is representive of having wounded troops etc or is simply a glitch in your game. I would imagine it has no effect on your army

You may use these builders that you have bought for a limited amount of time, check that the builder is still active by clicking on the builder icon. If it is still active but that building queue is not being used you simply start another upgrade for a building as normal, just ensure you are eligible (enough resources and high enough keep level).

What this game needs is an update for restrictions for level attacking .. should a level 28 be able to attack a level 11 unlimited times ? Makes players want to quit when they loose all their troops because of that

You can earn gems in-game to put toward truce agreements to protect your city. It is usually required by big alliances to be bubbled 24/7 even as a free player

This can happen for various reasons or be a misunderstanding of the UI in just as many ways, is it just that you bought the build then it ran out?

Hi, like many others I want to add my thanks and appreciation for your efforts , the developers should be paying you because I’m sure you have keep many newbies playing instead of quitting ! My question ( and I have hundreds more ) is having started and not having a clue left it for a few days and subsequently lost my protection I find myself around lv11 keep . I’ve spent around $50 thus ( probably on the wrong stuff ) far and have a few basic generals and one historic one ( I think 🤔 ) my gear is very basic on my general and I have 4 pieces on my Monarch 3 Blue 1 Purple so nothing to shout about. However my main concern is the lead player is on approximately 145M power , would you suggest I start over if I ever want to complete on another server or can I catch up !?

Thank you for the support! I don't think the developers like westerners so much, it'd be tough to be recognized unfortunately. I often have limited time and/or have problems keeping videos down in length so some information is omitted to save on time, so it is always good to be asking questions in the comments section when needed. The best things to be spending on early are just resources or speed ups, as increasing your keep level is the best way to succeed.. although not always the best way of getting these the special event packages that start at $5 USD the first time you buy it, have a lot of things in them such as speed ups resources and gems. The gear you mention is worth having over nothing, however is not needing to be upgraded a ton if at all, working with your alliance to take down higher level bosses which will get you gear scrolls to create better gear than this is the best way to improve your generals quickly. As generals cannot be upgraded past your monarch level it is very important to be growing quickly by attacking monsters, boss monsters and building up your city. Keep level is very important, if i were to use $100 I could probably get keep 23 in 4 days or something, so there is always a difference in knowledge between players that increase their efficiency, when i first started out i made many mistakes, i did in my current server and continue to do so. This happens especially in your first few months and taking that experience to a new server is absolutely recommended, staying on your first server is not always the best thing. Catching up is possible if you create many accounts and farm tons of resources, attack a ton of boss monsters etc however it tends to be $$$ that gets you to the top 25 spots on the leaderboards for your server, remember these people sometimes spend 15-25k USD a year.

@@EvonyGuides YIKES😱😳🤪. How much do they spend !!! Holy Mosses Batman I’m a sad fu🤬ker but not that sad to blow that sort of dough lol . My issue with this sever is that the better alliances all have power /keep requirements ( any alliance that doesn’t isn’t worth joining ) so getting into the more active alliances is a tad hard for a beginner 😤. I’m not sure if you touch on this area at all in your videos but in my experience gaming an active alliances is vital to success as is the community chat that some call kingdom chat . Many play these types of games as an escape from real life or at the very least a distraction from life especially given the current events world wide. Of course this is one area that no amount of knowledge will help with sadly. Thanks for taking the time to reply, I’ve currently watched a few of your videos now ( realised I’ve made many a mistake already like levelling up my city buildings as my keep grows is just one I could mention lol ) maybe you could number them in order of importance to be watched is my final suggestion. They have though been invaluable so again a huge thank you 😄

Yes it is the case that top 3 alliances are the only ones worth being in, newer servers this might not be true long term however you can always change alliances. This is where changing servers might come in, if you are able to be keep 11 in the first few hours of a server you can easily join the best alliance and get R3/R4 positions. Since uploading somd of my videos, quality has gotten better, in-game UI has changed and either information has changed or my own experience has improved on certain subjects, therefore take it with a grain of salt watching older videos of mine. Although i do recommend watching videos about generals so recruitment cultivation and best generals videos to get started. I do even have a purchasing guide that may help

Went into game a few minutes ago to see a new general has been released ( they are big earners for developers I bet ) so I understand the game continues to evolve. Easter events announced too ! what happens after you get full help? does the upgrading time decreases or what?

When you are given helps by other players it will reduce the time of your upgrade etc by an amount decided by your alliance research in particular. There is nothing extra that you get when all helps have been received, it just means that you can get no more for that upgrade.

Why don’t I get resources when attacking in PvP and I win?

either the player is severely under levelled or their resources are protected by the warehouse building. There is no way to overcome this and you must attack a target that has more resources.

You can stay in the same server and change alliances as you wish without losing almost anything. However unless you are a very low level you cannot migrate to a new server, you must start a new game to access the new servers unfortunately

If you wanted to start again to give it a go in a different server you need to go to settings -> account and click the button there to start a new game. You can link you current progress to facebook, google, apple etc to recover your current progress if you decide you didn't like the new server you started in.

click alliance, then manage and leave your current alliance from this screen. Then go to the "..." button -> ranking -> alliance power -> and select an alliance you would like to join from here. Do note that leaving an alliance will mean you cannot join another for 12 hours.

the newest servers are best to try, these can be found by going to the world map, clicking world map once more, then clicking the servers icon. the largest number displayed here (bottom right most likely) is the newest server. If you server isn't one of the newest servers you can restart from the beginning by going to settings, account then click start new game.

you cannot lose troops by not having food, although it is probably impossible to run out of food because at least a little bit of food is protected from being eaten by troops.. with research and so on you can have tens of millions of food protected from troops.. either way they cannot die ever from starvation

This may only be done via presets you may set in the rally spot building. This building is in the "top" right of your city near where your troops can be seen

Power isn't everything, as long as you're building up your buildings and getting that keep level up in particular. You just need yo work on killing bosses or joining rallies on them and participating in events for speed ups then gather resources on the world map to continuously grow

the army camp can be built in your resource spots outside the walls of your city, if you have no spare slots you will need to destroy one of the sawmills, farms, quarry etc to free up space for one (or more than one)
