Whatever you do, don’t go back to this game. It is an addiction that will only ruin your life. You’re in a great place right now to put your thoughts into real, tangible, meaningful things. This game is a life and ambition sucker. Some people cannot understand how Evony can occupy your mind and become the sole purpose of your existence because they might not have that same propensity to become addicted to something like this. If you go back, I can guarantee you, you will be sucked right back in and all of that energy you have to do great things will get put into this fake castle world. Just my thoughts on this. I'd like to leave my thoughts here... about attention, i remember this game being everything. It consumed my life. I spent 10 hours a day playing since I work from home. I wasted a year of my life. Because i gave it so much attention it expanded and pushed away all my goals in real life.

Hey it's Tsar.. I just want to thank you for your comments and thank you because I was coming to that conclusion somewhat and you invite me and reassured some of my thoughts only cuz even I'm thinking of cutting back on my game play is this the same reasons and for the fact that I was ignoring my physical body NFL continue to would have been detrimental I was able to catch a cancer scare early enough that after June 8th I'll be able to breathe again and not have to worry but yeah you're right it is very time-consuming away from your real everyday life... But thanks for sharing your thoughts I'm sure it will help a lot of people and enlighten some others

When I finally got out of the trap of age 1, I was amazed how much free time I had. Just like this game, it traps you into immersing so much time. Your real friends are ignored and replaced by your game "friends " Unfortunately after you leave the game you realize that your "game friends " aren't really your friends.

Yes absolutely - that's something huge I noticed too. I ignored my IRL friends, events, requests to hang out etc. I do think some friends remain depending on the relationship.

I will admit that I have found friends in the game that hopefully will outlast the game, but honestly they are spread out around the US and the world. Will we ever meet face to face? As you rightly said it’s about balance, and what we do in game is our own actions. If we intend to just be obsessed in being the best well then we will spend every resource we have to do it and with evony being evony it’s just insatiable craving to go over and over on it. So you are right man intention is what makes us who we are. What we intend is where our action runs to. Glad to see you being healthy and fresh on it. I don’t think you should waste your time in making content for evony and giving in popularity. I think we should take responsibility in making sure others players don’t fall into the same trap we fell in to. So don’t give evony the platform for it. That’s my request to you.

Thank you for the insight after freedom & you and some others started leaving I also sat back and thought about why am I spending so much time in this game : it’s only been a month and I’ve limited my play time and have got my health back /: back at gym out and about again and feel much much calmer I was in the game too much prior to this and spending wasting cash so thanks to fellow evony colleague I am back to living in the real world again 😂

Cheers mate. Evony a slippery slope, if you fill, if you're dipping toes, it is likely it'll suck you right back in again. It is an absolute coinfest hunk of shit it always was and likely always will be. I think most (if not all) enjoy alot of your content. The Runescape vid for example though unorganized was still fun. You bring panache to video game coverage - but be careful being sucked back in, and it will, suck you back in.

Agree but their is such a thing as balance. Many of us are just gamers, we love gaming on our free time and where it tilts is when the heavy coining comes in alongside spending too much time on the game. Its why people complain about games not being balanced for f2p and mid coiners. Evony prior to K40 was actually fun and balanced monetarily. Ultimately evony tested their waters and realized theirs plenty of heavy coiners willing to spend as much as cars and houses for an edge. Thats ultimately what kills games. Many dont know but alot of players came to evony from Game of War which was at its peak with all the same things evony is doing. That game is dead now and the cycle seems to come for evony now that their greed has lashed out on the player base. Thats life i guess.

Absolutely agreed. Balance. These game developers just get greedy / focus on money in the next few months rather than the long term / creating a successful game for years to come. But as far as balance, that's something I'm working on now. I agree. I think it's a maturity thing.

I played the game for 3 years! I’m lucky that I’m poor financially (but rich in life) and that they didn’t get my money! I realised a year ago that being a freeloader I would never be rated in ‘the best’ !! Evony is 100% pay to (be the best 😅) win!! It doesn’t change the fact that I was addicted !! The best thing I have done on this game to play with you, bro. But the best thing I have done for myself was to quit this game. I didn't know what addiction was until I played this game. I still remember, we had a BOC game and I was with my family for lunch. Instead of being with the family, I was in the car and on the game. Thinking back I realise how much time and money I have spend. Money doesn't matter but the time, that I won't get back. Playing in RSP was the best part of the time but still it was I greatful that I got to get out of the cycle. I was a pleasure playing with you and the team. ❤ Fire 🔥

I’m sure you probably won’t see my comment, but too much of anything can be a bad thing, and I can certainly relate to everything you were just talking about as I play the game as well. There was a point where I kind of caught myself going or getting a little too serious with it And that’s kind of the whole catch. It’s fine to get on here and play but what the individual players have to know is when we are going to far and getting too serious on it, you have a lot of knowledge on the game and it would be nice to see you come back, but now that you know what you happen to know, play a little bit differently, it would be cool to see you come back but to see you play how you know you should and hopefully this serves as a reminder to all players to not take it too far that it is just a game and not our lives, lol

As you state yourself, what is on your thoughts? You still are talking about Evony and making videos of your experience of the game. If you wish to continue making videos, I can understand that. If you wish to share about your life, I can understand that. Avoid mentioning Evony, avoiding showing images of Evony. Just share about yourself. Talk about you and your daily activities. Share about what it is you like to chat about. Talk to people about their challenges and help them through it. Forget that game, don't think about it. Walk away from it and don't look back. Look forward and think about the future. Plan on what you like to do not what had happened in the past. Learn from the past to avoid repeating the errors and focus on improving your life.

I left too, well not really leave yet, I still have an account, but won't be growing it, won't spending money on it, it's just there so I can check things out every now and then and see what progress the people in my server has made. I wish though, that I was able to make it to All stars, lol! But I'm a low coiner, must have spent at least $100/$200+ in the 1 year I've played the game, so yeah, All stars is nothing but a pipe dream, to top it off, my server is quite bad at pvp, no strategies at all. 🤣 However, I spent so a lot time on this game, I tried to make it to at least top 10 or 5 in every events, for the rewards. It is baffling to me, though, how and why people get so addicted to this game, that they are willing to spend thousands of $$$ to get virtual castles, lol! But I think it's because of, I keep saying this over and over, but it's "ego", the need to feed our ego, to prove that we are the best or one of the best, at least in our own server and then eventually in our continent and so on, the competitiveness to be the best, be the first to get wonder 1, 2 and 3, the first to get in All stars, those are bragging rights, that no one outside of Evony will be impressed at, but we still want to achieve them. 🤣 🤣 🤣 Oh, another thing also is the need for attention (within your server, at least), I have noticed that some people in the game, not all, gets romantically interested in some players, (this is in spite of the fact that most players in the game are actually married and we live in different countries and even continents) and therefore, want to show off, if you know what I mean?🤣 They flirt, gets jealous, tries to get rid of the person they are jealous of, out of the alliance, competes with the person they are jealous of, etc. There are female players who befriends everyone, specially males, "big coiner guys", flirts with them, to I dunno really, but it's obvious that this woman loves to get their attention, not sure if the guys notices it or they're also loving the attention? Lot's of male flirts, too. 🤣 Maybe this is just in my server? 🤔🤣🤣 (oops that was a long post)
