I have the Yamaha VL70m module with the Turbo chip from Patchman - bought it with a Yamaha WX5, which I despise. Hoping the 4000s will be a better experience when I can get one - and these tutorials have already convinced me that I should give it a try.

Very comprehensive .... THANKS!. I do have a little glitch ... bought my 4000 a week ago and all was well BUT yesterday I'm experiencing the weirdest thing... my left hand keys (K1 2 3) are not responding ?? I contacted the Akai chat and was told it maybe a humidity/temperature thing... I do live in Japan and it is hot these days, but does this mean one cannot do summer outdoor festivals? As it does get hot on stage and I tend to do a few every year...

I've tried to connect my EWI 5000 with Yamaha tyros 3 so can use his sound. It worked but not that smoothly. Any suggestions please?

Hi. The sounds need to be programmed so that CC02 from the EWI controls either filter cut off or expression. I do have a video on this using the Aerophone, but the EWI will work the same. I'm not sure how you can edit the sounds on the Tyros though, sorry.

@@isax.academy First of all thanks for your reply. Yes I've watched all your videos and they helped me a lot. The way you explain is very clear. Last 2 days there was an offer to buy those VSF sounds but I was very disappointing regarding sound quality. Far away from it is said like for example Kenny G sound. When you hear his demonstration sounds great. These costed me 230 euros. Now I find another box from DynSample Expression. Don't know if you heard about it. Costs around 900 euros so not that cheap. Maybe in future will get one. Thanks for sharing your time. Cheers from Malta.
