New Safety Team to fight crime and take back Bonteheuwel's streets

The group of officers will be operating 24 hours a day, as they deal with by-law transgressions, as well as assisting Metro Police and South Africa Police Service with crime prevention duties.
Since the beginning of the year there have been a reported 44 murders in Bonteheuwel. According to the City gang related crimes have increased because there is no police station in the area.

Visible police is a huge failure in fighting crime but if some police wear plain clothes and drive in unnarked police cars they will catch alot of criminals this strategy works in loss Angeles city California USA in solving and capping alot of crimes

I understand what you mean, but remember in places where citizens carry firearms legally for self-defence, you will find unnecessary shootings mainly because one was a suspect and the other was mistaken for an attacker. Some of the reasons why some actual criminals are involved in shooting police in night raids at their properties. Being identified as police through uniforms gives authority and safety to the police as only few purposely shoot at police
