EWS 2018: Finale Highlights

The 2018 EWS season finished in its traditional home of Finale Ligure in the heart of the Italian Riviera. For the first time this year the race was just one day, but featured over 50km of trail and four big stages. And those stages served up all the drama you’d expect from a race that would culminate in the World Champions being crowned on the shores of the Mediterranean.

Mountain bikes take absolute hammerings. I can’t think of any other equipment used for sport that takes such abuse! Also, Isabeau, please marry me. Allez Allez.

Motocross/Supercross bikes. Much gnarlier jumps/whoops/3 ft deep ruts/triples/doubles/stair steps etc...done at 10 times the speed and much larger heights. But, DH and Enduro is hardcore for a bicycle/rider and it takes massive skill to race so don't get me wrong. I love em both and are comparable to a certain extent.
