This does not actually reference a real door. Jesus spoke in parables. What he mean if you read the Bible is to believe that he is the Messiah that they Jews were waiting for. The pharisees rejected him as the messiah and tried to stone him and kill him because they did not believe that he was the Messiah. So Jesus referenced the whole time in parables that he is the way to God to heaven ect. He never stated once that he was God himself.

Actually, this has everything to do with Jesus, who is the “door”to eternal life. The Holy Door is a call for repentance and forgiveness, made manifest through concrete material reality. Sorry, folks, that’s what the Incarnation is about. Hi, so I know jack about Catholic doctrine etc, however 'there are many mansions' & Im not vain enough to proclaim this & that is the only truth blah blah. In all sincerity, can someone explain a lil this 'right of ritual' when it came into being, why? etc I want to understand the meaning behind the ritual, because I believe its for the benefit of humanity.
