Paul and the scriptures are very clear regarding the issue of homosexuality and the issue of same sex relationships. It is an abomination to God! This is not the forum to go into detail but you can begin with Sodom and Gomorrah. But as for the biblical passages that seem to suggest a prohibition against same-sex sexual relations, I do not see the same angry conservative Christians clamoring for laws agains polyester (Leviticus 19:19), consuming meat with blood (Acts 15:29), or maintaining worldly possessions (Matthew 16:21). We tend to enforce those portions of biblical imperative that justify us and give us a sense of moral superiority. In the meanwhile, the Church's stances on sex, gender, sexuality, and reproduction display very little humility, acceptance, or compassion, three things that I see Jesus exhibiting again and again.
