If I would be among the High Ranks I would make mandatory teaching children martial arts (karate for example). The biggest problem here that these freaks see children the most vulnerable and easy target. If children would be able to defend themselves and recognize a threat their safety would increase. Call me paranoid, but the mobile phones are not seems to be enough. However I have to admit: I don't have children.

If it's not illegal to misrepresent yourself as a child's guardian, it absolutely should be. Edit: Because people keep mentioning it. Yes, attempted kidnapping is a crime. However, you have to prove that they were attempting to remove the child from the location. Currently, it would seem that lying about being the child's parent/guardian is not considered enough proof of intent. It's this that I feel needs to change. Either it should be considered evidence of attempted kidnapping, or it should just be straight-up illegal. I understand that in most cases, lies of identity are protected under free speech. However, I think there is good cause to argue that certain, very specific lies are not allowed. For example, you can't lie to a police officer about your identity when they tell you to identify yourself during an investigation. Perhaps we could at least make it illegal to lie to a school/daycare/hospital worker, etc. about your guardianship of a child under their care. They are required to surrender a child to their guardian, so lying about this to one of these specific people should be considered an attempt to gain control of the minor.

@@momma2thewilds88 Punching him in the face wouldn't solve anything. All that would do is increase the numbers of arrests, and complicate the case even further. People need to chill and let police officers do their work. As much as the father would love to see him get arrested on the spot, the police officers need to conduct an investigation before that could happen. In cases like these, investigation is extremely important in order to uncover the whole perspective of the crime. I have to give props to the police officer who managed to get a confession from him. Child predators are often full of shame when they get caught, so it's not easy to get them to confess. Especially not while out in public. Usually they tend to lock down and deny any accusations as a defense mechanism.

How you think the officers felt who also have kids trying to keep their shit together to conduct this investigation while also trying to keep the parents calm. All while operating in on the confines of the law to keep things admissable in court later so he doesn't walk. If those parents assault him he becomes a victim and they will lose the golden opportunity to interrogate him which would likely mean he'd have gotten over. Massive kudos to those officers doing that and keeping their own anger in check cuz it's not easy. Even more so after the guy attempted to assault him it is really hard to not want to do more than just place them on the ground. Because if they did and let their anger out on him they would end up in handcuffs later on and potentially lose your job amongst civil rights lawsuits from people who don't understand what's going on. That is not an easy process to be in it is very mentally taxing I get massive respect to those officers not everybody can do it.

It’s what is needed in the situation. Way too many people would let their emotions get in the way and that man would be free today. They had zero on him legally. Even though everyone can accurately deduce his intentions, the standard for conviction is higher than that. If he didn’t confess he would have walked 100%. Hey but someone gets to feel like they accomplished something because they yelled at him and scolded him. So maybe the future victims are worth it right? 🙄

“They have attractive younger women.” That’s probably the most disgusting thing I’ve ever heard a predator say about a literal child. I hope this creature rots in prison. It’s bad enough he came to this school with the intention of drugging, kidnapping, and doing unspeakable things to a kindergartner, but him having the nerve to fight a police officer not once, but twice inside a station? This is also a VERY good reason as to why you should never post events for children on social media…

@@varus6960 That would have made him clam up immediately. Also, I hate to say it, but there have been people on social media (usually Twitter) in the past few years putting things like MAP (minor-attracted person) or NOMAP (non-offending minor-attracted person) the way that people might list their pronouns, gender, or sexuality as though they're trying to normalize it. Tying into that, there was also an alt-right hoax about 5-6 years ago where they tried to make 'clovergender' (identifying as a younger age) a thing, as a way to attack the LGBTQ+ community, notably non-binary people. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, it's unfortunately a way for pedophiles to piggyback off of hateful propaganda where heterosexual people use the slippery slope argument "oh but if we let gay people get married then we'll end up legalizing marriage to kids and animals"... and then pedophiles will say "hey, we're hated for our sexuality, count us as part of this marginalized group and give us rights". At the time the parents almost sabotaged the investigation 999 out of 1000 would have never admitted their intent or crimes. This guy was absolutely somthing else never seen anything like it before. He may be charged for attempted kidnapping based on his 'confession', although if he has a half decent lawyer then that will be dropped as he made about 12 different confessions and it would be difficult to prove this 1 particular thing said out of 12+ things said was truth and the rest lies. they actually should not have interrupted him. The black cop who butts in there is actually in the wrong. For whatever reason, he seemed to be in a forthcoming and confessional mood at the time the first officer was questioning him, probably because he seemed so calm and sympathetic. He could have got confessions about prior crimes and names of other victims. Clearly he's mentally disturbed and erratic, and as soon as the tone and the scene is changed, he's likely to clam up and shut his mouth. At the time though, he was just answering everything and admitting to multiple felonies. Really frustrating to see that broken up cuz other cop is mad and wants to take him to the station. The cops here are frankly amazing. They cordoned him off far away from everybody, made sure he wasn't an immediate threat to anybody, got a great deal of information out of him, and picked apart his lies little-by-little. I understand the anger and frustration on the part of the parents, but putting him in the back of a squad car would probably just make things worse when it comes to getting information and clearing up the situation as quickly as possible. The cops were calm, pressed the suspect on information firmly, and did their best to de-escalate. Just like A+ police work from these guys.
