Sorry to say this, but I am struggling to be sure if these people are police officers who are supposed to care for valuable people. This appealing. It's so painful to watch and listen to them. They even they "good luck" to the partner

They both needed a capable caregiver. The old man was on oxygen & may have had the beginnings of dementia. I was a RN & the elderly woman definitely needed placement somewhere. You can’t do enough for her. That is probably why family is MIA.

Caretaker burnout is real. It’s an exhausting job and this man repeatedly expresses being at the end of his rope. They really need to treat it the same way they’d treat someone who is threatening suicide. He’s asking, desperately, for help. Them telling him to “be patient” is absurd bc clearly he’s so far past that point. What happened is wrong but they left a man under extreme duress with her.
@unhearted.23 сағат бұрын
so baffling that you have the audacity to defend this man. the police missed so many redflags that i myself could have picked up, its nobodys fault excpet the dude who killed her and the police he stated 3 times he was going to kill her, and yet you think he was asking for "help?"

Having a child is hard. Having a DISABLED child is harder. That kid was having a hard time with things as it was, anyway. It didn't help with the mom doing what she did

This is heartbreaking on so many levels. Incant wven watch it anymore it's upsetting me so bad. Poor poor woman, she was helpless and crying out for help!!!! She didn't want to be a burden so she just dealt with stuff! Horrible to see. We, as Americans, need to start taking care of our parents and grandparents in their old age. We have a bad problem about that!

Once you play the race card, you lose everyone’s support, law enforcement, mine, everybody’s…and I was on the ice cream lady’s side until she was so rude to the officer. Improve your argument instead of crying racism…just makes you look weak and out of ideas. The police cannot arrest someone based on another’s video or statement. They have to have evidence that’s admissible in court.

My mom takes care of my stepdad and she is unable to lift him if he falls ,when he becomes aggressive the police have told us due to dementia he can not be held responsible for what he does. So he stays in the home . They don’t have money to hire help for them. It’s sad when you can’t get help and do no have funds for it . That’s crazy how they handled this

This is a crazy situation! This lady is forcing her boyfriend to care for her when he isn't able to anymore. What does she expect the police to do?? They can't sit and babysit them forever! This is bad all around! He just can't do it anymore, and while she is afraid of him, she refuses to leave.

No this is just another situation that shows why females should not be police officers. Men and women are different from each other and each cannot do things that the other can do. This is not an opinion meant to disparage women in any way because they obviously can do many many great things.. but when it comes to dealing with dangerous men on the streets… that should be left to other men to handle.

Does this video say what her medical condition was, because if she had anything effecting her brain, she could have "good " days/hours and bad ones. My now deceased DIL was like that towards the end, but hospice nurses said they could bring her to a nursing home to give my daughter a 5 day break ( it was decided while she was in the nursing home that it would be better for her to stay there) . It was a hard choice but she had become rude or mean to my gson and for his emotional health it had to be that choice. I know that a nursing home is expensive and even though it can be covered by Medicare or medicaid, they( or government) CAN put a lien on the house to get back some of the money back, I have a friend who has a friend in a nursing home and her family was told that they couldn't sell the house or items in the home, because they had a lien on it from the bills of the nursing home. I know that nursing homes are understaffed and under funded, I know some people shouldn't be taking care of the ones in the nursing home, but places are so understaffed that they are hiring pretty much anyone who applies. My friends in different areas of the medical & legal field say that they are swamped and sadly no one thinks to write out a trust, for situations like this so things like this happen less.
