Thank you, Gentlemen. This was an excellent and intriguing conversation with many gems. Martin Gurri comes across as a genuine, caring, and humble man. Wonderful to hear his hard earned wisdom.

Very interesting gentleman. The notion of 'liberal democracy' and its spread throughout the world (organic or otherwise) should by definition mean the will of the public is determining the course of a nation's development and priorities. The only 'Revolt' the public need enact should be at the ballot box - otherwise what's 'democratic' about any of it? It seems to me that 'democratic' means something different to elites than it might to the public (whose opinions are supposed to be shaped by media 'elites' anyway). In retrospect, I think 2016 was a complete shock to the 'elites' - their will failed to be imposed despite an institutional full-court press. I don't recall such prevalent cries for censorship of social media as I did after 2016. They were completely outflanked, Brexit and Trump being the two prime examples. Everything since then has been a rear-guard action, introspection not being their strong suit.

Martin Gurri was a "CIA analyst"? OMG this guy could not connect the dots even if the hidden lines were shown. He's so "smart" he is even voting for Trump. Now I know why the USA is losing it! Glad to be a European.

I made it 18 minutes, but Martin is clearly delusional when it comes to attempting to discuss politics with any accuracy or even-handedness.

“Biased, untethered…” so you run from information inconvenient to your interests? You shove your head in the ground at viewpoints that oppose yours? Bad idea.
