If an ordinary person says "6 year olds should be getting shot" you'd just nod your head and think "well duh?". When this man says "6 years shouldn't be getting shot", you get the sense its coming from the experience of a man who has seen a great many people, both older and younger, being killed. It gives you a feeling that this guy lived and worked in a world where even the most basic rules of society and decency to others were nowhere to be found.

This man knows what's really going on. I'll never forget having to rush out of MY home with MY ,4 kids from crazy sociopathic ex. Smoking crack daily. And him pulling car parts out of MY vehicle so I couldn't escape with MY kids, I called the cops, 2 met me at a gas station after he put the parts back in luckily and the woman officer told me he can just stay at Me and My kids home and we would need to go to a homeless shelter!!!!! I've never asked them for help again in my life. I ran MY full-time business from my home at the time, all my kids clothes, school books/ backpacks, shoes,socks, MY food, toys, clothes, beds, rooms, MY paid Bills etc. we're all obviously at MY HOME, so me & my 4 kids would have our whole life ripped from us but he could stay chilling in MY nice home I created for us, smoking crack, eating our food, not a care in the world while WE were displaced. BULLSHIT!!!!!!! 4 young kids & a young mom doing the absolute best she could do!!!

So refreshing to see someone who couldn't possibly be accused of being a snowflake prepared to calmly but passionately connect the problems with the causes. Too many people try to avoid 'bringing politics into it', denying the reality that political decisions have huge consequences for a society.

@the_local_bigamist Жыл бұрын
Only just started this interview and it is fascinating to hear from a Firing Squad police, even though he joined when they were past their prime (hardcore cops and robbers turned to drugs mostly long before him joining). But I wish you'd asked him more about that Gatwick bust, given that he mentioned the "intelligence" they had at least twice, as well as the security at Gatwick being compromised. This likely means that they had at least one informant in whatever East Laaahndan firm was behind this heist which would've been an amazing one to pull off and it seems unlikely that they would've been able to stop it without a grass/snitch/"covert human intelligence source"/rat or whatever you want to call them (the grass could also have been someone from a rival firm, as happens often too). But of course the sensationalist cases will always get the attention. No disrespect RE the 7/7 bombings, but it feels like more could've been learnt about policing from this interview if the right questions were asked. People don't realise that the police would be even more useless without informants, if you can even imagine that. Anyway, back to the interview. I liked his message about talking it out with colleagues in order to deal with trauma. However, when it gets to the questions about Wayne Couzens, I find it hard to take him seriously. The Met is full of wrong'uns - all of the police forces are. This is a known fact. Dunno about the Flying Squad but look at the old vice squad in Soho which ran protection rackets and used the "services" on offer as a perk. Look at the amount of other police were exposed or how many people spoke out against the Met in particular about their nasty ways and don't forget that others were convicted or at least sacked, who were actually involved with Couzens if he was a bad apple then he was surrounded by another dozen of them at least and that is just one set of wrong'uns. I like this man and he seems sincere, even though I have no time for the police, but there can be no illusions about the facts that they close ranks, protect their own and only take action against themselves when something tragic goes public (Sarah Everard - RIP). Who is vetting them? Who has been vetting them since the start of modern policing? When he asks why no one went to speak to a senior officer, he knows that being a grass inside the police is almost the same as being a grass in organised crime! This is a part of how corruption is enabled, not to mention their "fraternities". Look at the cases of Daniel Morgan (murdered by the Met in Sydenham - case still underway, lots of covering up, mad connections between Masonic lodges and organised crime groups) and also Stephen Lawrence, with similar themes. And then look into the many that didn't make national headlines. But he is absolutely correct about how austerity has destroyed public services. His rosy view of the police aside, austerity has destroyed lives, allowed for more opportunities for corruption and shows how the state is a complete failure, unless you are a member of the ruling class (which, unfortunately and ultimately, the police serve above all).
