Dave Courtney has many titles - he has been a doorman in London's finest nightclubs, he became known as "celebrity gangster" after carrying out security for the Krays at their funeral and has been involved in some criminal activity. Dave shared with us his incredible life story and where he is now.
This is an episode of Extraordinary Lives, where we speak to people with a unique life story to tell. From a North Korea escapee to an undercover cop, a Cold War spy to a shipwreck survivor.
Hosted by LADbible's Ben-Powell Jones, this series is a window into remarkable experiences - with stories that paint a picture of extraordinary lives.
Thanks to Dave for taking part!

Dave was a genuinely lovely geezer. He was all heart. I met him a couple of times in the 90s and he was exactly like he appeared on TV, very affable, always with a funny anecdote. Rest in peace Dave.

@Calvinclimb51
@Calvinclimb51 7 ай бұрын
The 1991 documentary Bermondsey Boy shows Dave Courtney with a wife (not Jennifer Pinto) a young daughter and what looks like a son. Newspaper reports say he met Jennifer Pinto in his fitness club in the 1980s. This documentary came out in 1991 which would make him around 32. No disrespect, he is (edit was) a character and seems likeable particularly after stalking his Instagram but something is not adding up. Rather than an informant, was he actually an undercover policeman who got into the role and the lifestyle? I still don't understand how someone can pull a trigger on themself with arthritis so bad that he can't even roll a cigarette. I think also we underestimate the use of deepfakes in media. We have to question everything that is presented to us...filters for aging , voice apps that work in real time that seem very life-like.
