What is there to be shocked about? The USSR developed & launched the first satellite & other military marvels. They had & still have really great scientist & engineers in Russia. Also, Ukraine has been announcing this counteroffensive for damn near 2 months now. Why tell your enemy what you about to do months ahead of time? Giving them time to prepare. Makes no sense

@@nomayor1 I always laugh at russky disinformation ideas. Ukraine digging trenches to fight people in its own country in Donnbas? The government could get them to prison at any moment, but it's not russia, it's free Ukraine with no repressions. That's why Ukraine can have Maidan, and russia can't. That's why Ukrainians can criticize their president pulbicaly, but russians can't. Don't tell me Donbas people were militarized coal miners with tanks from voentorg. It was russian commander Girkin, and he admitted, who invaded into Ukraine and started ripping it apart. The truth is so much simpler: Donbass is on the russian border, and has lots of natural resources. But please, go on with fighting pigeons and nazis, I like those retarded fairytales

The Russians haven't dug in since 2014 as this guy claims. They only invaded last year. It was the Ukrainians who spent the past eight years digging massive fortifications. This is why the Russians have taken so long breaking the Ukrainian defences. The Russian have indeed spent the past eight months building very deep defence lines in the South of Ukraine stretching all the way back to Crimea. And the Ukrainians have failed to even get out of no-man's land and reach the first Russian defensive lines. The counter-offensive was doomed to failure from the start. Despite the media lies, there was never a hope in hell of this counter-offensive succeeding. In fact, Ukraine was never expected to win this war, the neo-Con idea was to force Russia to invade and then use that as an excuse to apply sanctions. It was the sanctions that were meant to destroy Russia, collapse its economy, and break up Russia ready to be exploited and pillaged by Western big business.

Surrounded by sea and compliant neighbors, the US has never needed to think too seriously about defense and has focused on developing weapons suitable for launching attacks against others. In contrast in its history, Russia has been invaded many times and so has had a great need to develop defensive weapons. Therefore, it should not be surprising that Russia excels at shooting down drones. Russia currently leads the world in air defense capability. Will the US try to duplicate Russian air defense capability? It could probably do so, but why would it bother when it is not at risk of invasion? Also, for the cabal in Washinton it is sufficiently gratifying to wage wars and proxy wars against others. No need to defend America, and also no need to win wars, because each time a war is lost, they obtain fresh gratification by starting another.

America has severe problems of both force readiness and design deficiencies. They have the best subs, but the only non-nuclear payload is the subsonic Tomahawk. Their air force consists of fighters which are too short legged, and the missiles are too small and slow. The M1 Abrams is a complete write off after the first day in war. The result is that Russia can prevail regionally against NATO. CIA has been finding the right in Ukraine since it's inception in the 50s. I accept Russia's claim that Ukraine is a hostile state which must be defeated.

Economics will determine this war above all. US and West are already stressing their economies and low and middle class struggling in high numbers. When these two classes collapse, there will be more internal social problems and now citizens are questioning why taxpayer is going to Zelensky and his clique.

@@bebestfamily9181 True. But no country has air defense capabilities as advanced and as vast as Russias, including America. Even the vaunted Patriot, the US best air defense system isnt anywhere near as advanced as the Russian S350, let alone the S400,450,500 or 550. Then you have to add the medium range AD such as the BukM1, M2s and M3s then the Pantsir S1,S2 then the Tor M1 and M2s for short to medium range. All of these systems with the exception of the S450, 500 and 550 are operational in Ukraine. Then you have to add on top of that the advance electronic warfare systems that Russia is employing that are jamming all sorts of communication, targeting and guidance signals. Then theres the C4ISR which tracks everything that flys from every airfield or that is launched from every system. All of these assets are net centric which means that they are all connected to each other in an advanced network and communicate with each other to share information on/about the battlefield in real time. This is why I said in the grand scheme of things I doesn't matter what the West sends them, none of them were prepared to fight this kind of advanced combined arms warfare. Not even NATO. Shoot the Supreme Allied Commander of NATO's European contingent General Cavoli said that NATO has never even imagined the scope and scale of the combat going on in Ukraine. That's NATO's top general. So if they haven't imagined it you can sure bet they have nowhere near a plan for it.

One must not be a genius to understand the USA is not perfect but neither are most countries. Helmuth von Moltke's country for ex was an aggressor and eventually a big loser in WW2. The USA must be given some credit however for keeping the shipping lanes open in this world among other things. They are still the worlds biggest economy and the worlds greatest power who always promote new ideas concerning technology and gives people the freedom to pursue those endeavours. But, if one considers the population of India and China, they should be the biggest economies given their populations...but they are not and have not been able to attain this kind of success for many reasons that maybe even you can figure out why......?

This war is cannibalistic, and this is so sad. That Fedorov person who produces drones in Ukraine has a Russian last name. You know it if it ends at "-ov" or "-ev". That means that he is an ethnic Russian living in Ukraine and having to defend it from Russia. On the other hand, there are many Russian citizens with Ukrainian last names who support the war.

The Ex-Google CEO is shocked because he's not an engineer. I"m not at all surprised. Russia has good engineers and technologists. Interfering with drones, especially those being flown remotely (FPV) is not at all difficult. No more difficult than jamming someone's wifi or cell phone. They've been jamming GPS too, again not unexpected in war. I've been saying for years that in a real war, all these modern autonomous weapons that rely on GPS will be very vulnerable. Well, Ukraine has smart engineers too and it won't be long until they find a way to thwart Russian interference. Such is war. Update. Someone below corrected me that the CEO is in fact a software developer with degree. I stand corrected but am stunned that he is surprised.
