I suggest DW to invite a guest who is even more informed and knowledgeable about the drones and warfare on the ground. Her name is Maria BERLINSKA, she has best knowledge on the ground for the past 10 years, better than any other single advisor in the world. She knows what works and what doesn't. She can tell you that drone guns are becoming outdated. This was relevant 6 months ago. Now its a dome electonic jamming devices fitted to trench or vehicle (can be seen on Ukrainian Bradley APVs). She has a network of schools and instructors teaching Ukrainians to operate all sorts of drone systems. The 1st use of FPV kamikazi drones in the world and the first use of dropping of explosives from drones was made by Ukrainian army and [r]ussians quickly adopted this techniques.
@MAGAman-uy7wh8 ай бұрын
So the drone is jammed at the frequency it was using before it was jammed so it switches to a predetermined frequency for control and mission resumption. These alternate frequencies can be sequenced so if the alternate frequency is also jammed an successive frequency is selected. Cat and mouse. A "return to base" set of instructions can be installed to recover the drone for another day. AN EMP can be triggered and ALL drones would drop like stones, even "friendly" drones.
@RichBoy-dc2dq8 ай бұрын
Jamming a FPV drone frequency only works if you see it coming. The problem is Russians fly just high enough to not hear or see them. You only know the drone is over head when you get blown up. The Russian FPV drones even got night vision now which is beyond deadIy for exposed troops in a pitch dark field.

There is a decent drone controller built on Arduino that's open source. I suspect a decent amount of Ukrainian coding effort is going into that sort of cat and mouse frequency hopping or battle hardening features. But that's limited to the home grown ones. And Ukraine's manufacturing capacity is limited Vs buying every premade commercial drone Chinese suppliers will sell them. Throw it up "as is" for surveillance. Or pop a 3d printed bomb harness on that goes boom when the wires touch eachother. I've got to hand it to them. The Ukrainians are smart and while they can absolutely to the fancy thing. They are also damn good at doing the easy fast thing very well. Also emp, cute idea but sadly that's more science fiction than fact. Unless you want to pop a nuke in the atmosphere your not getting an emp strong enough for any kind of counter measure.

Armor on top of thinnest, because they are armored against other tanks. They assume a direct his from above is artillery or a bomb from aircraft, in which case there is no way to prevent that so why waste effort, add weight and cost and reduce mobility to defend against enormous 155mm shells or 500lb-1,000lb bombs. Javelin and Drones take advantage of this. The upper surface of the lower chassis or the tank, right behind the turret is where the tanks autoloader ammunition is stored. Any ammo in there is going to blow.

There were 2 regions of the country that rebuffed them and began to resist, these are the regions of Lugansk and Donetsk. The impostors in power in Ukraine attacked them with an army and a war began between them. Later, these regions asked Russia for protection, and impostors in power in Ukraine began to say that they were at war with Russia. Since then, the conflict between Russia and "Ukraine" began.
