Former Ipswich mayor Inga Lockington has had her application for British citizenship turned down by the Home Office - because officials will not accept that she is a UK resident!

Former mayor, married to a British citizen for decades, lived here for decades too. I'm not entirely sure who qualifies if she does not.

This is just infuriating: Inga is so gracious in her response yet she - and so many others - are being treated abominably. Shame on the Home Office.
