My wife joined JW a few years ago. Her old personality is gone and she is unrecognizable compared with before. Replaced by a fearful and manipulative fake persona. Now the JW organization is tearing my family apart

I got out at75 age.. Been in for nearly 50 years... Its not easy as I'm a widow.. All my so called friends left me.. My husband was a long time elder.. We were very well known and it was a complete shock for many when I left...my last yrs are relaxed and happy.. New friends. Better relationship with my children who are not in..dont give up.. Sometimes we're just scared.. Experience like this encourage us to take the plunge.. Thankyou...

But the Governing Body has made clear that’s its followers are NOT to freely access these things either- they just don’t have the ability to physically block the access so they do it with mental persuasion and the threat of punishment. So they are not waiting for the “Great Tribulation” to muzzle free thought and questioning

I grew up very manly and religious and would laugh this off when I was younger. Since becoming an atheist I I have discovered compassion and empathy for others. I too, was helped by your videos Lloyd. Starting back about 5 years ago when waking up. In fact, showed one episode to my younger sibling at that time, who's been in for years and finally, now he's PIMO, telling me stuff! But at one point he'd get angry at me when telling him things. I now have another older sibling, hardcore, longtime JW/elder, who has been reaching out to me and wanting to talk. DESPITE him knowing my position and flat out telling him I'd NEVER be involved with WT ever again. I've now started sending him links, "faithful(ly) and discreet(ly)" LOL! He recently told me that there was no need to look outside of the "love" of the org to see what its enemies are saying about WT. He was quoting from the convention material. I tore that up with info/logic from your rebuttals and that of other channels. I was like, "Are you talking about Splane's illogical rant or the Dreadlocks Dramatization?" We'll see what the future holds! 😁😎

How amazing for him! I love this story. And Lloyd, I don’t think I need to say this but you are not alone… I’ve completely given up hope that my immediate family will ever wake up. I do have hope that in the age of zoom, some might slip away from the watch tower’s tight grip, and that young people having internet access will find out the truth about the truth. I recently received a letter from my country of origin by the woman who gave my mother Bible study and subsequently gave me Bible study, and it breaks my heart that she’s still strong in this religion in her old age. But that’s just the way it is.

My parents are deceased but were born in 1939 & 1941. I’ve wondered if they were alive today with everything going on with JW broadcasting would they have woken up. I’ll never know of course but I’m so glad to hear that this worked out for this gentleman!☺️

Sorry to hear that your parents are gone, Maryann.☹️ I'm torn on this subject a little bit, because my Mom talks about the paradise all the time (to an annoying degree). My Dad isn't the most spiritual guy, but believes it 100% as well. Part of me would like to see them wake up, but the other half would just as soon see them living in this fantasy world. I told them about the ARC and made my stand with them a few months back. Maybe they'll come around too, who knows!

Over the past couple of year's I have come to notice that there have quite a few older ones in their 70's and 80's who are waking up to the deceptions of the organization. I was raised not JW, but very conservative, sort of culty Roman Catholic (no formal df'ing or shunning, but still a destructive, controlling, smothering shadow cast over my childhood). I couldn't help but notice, the caller's father is the same age as my father, and his mother the same age as my mother! It's easy to fantasize about how wonderful it would be for this same unimaginable scenario to play out in my family, but I know, that's just a pipe dream. I sure am happy for the caller, though!!

I seriously pray that it falls fast! I am afraid that my friend is not going to leave unless he sees it in a blatant and right in his face reality. He was out for a bit due to his misdeeds🙄. Now trying to get back in. My heart is broken. He is such a smart man and I am totally unable to understand how? I'm from Michigan and I'm very familiar with the JW. I'm reading a book. I remember playing your videos while finishing a physical model for my school assignment late at night. Everyone was asleep at the time and I needed some human voice but not radio, then a random video of yours was recommended...during pillowgate. At first, you were playing in the background, then things you said caught my attention more and more. Then I watched more "apostates" like JT - Critical Thinking. It's like I opened a can of worms! THEN I watched the Australian Royal Commission video where a representative of the Governing Body member was asked whether he believes that they are the sole channel used by God, and he gave an answer other than yes and my heart sank. No wonder they don't recommend Jehovah's Witnesses watch it. I stopped attending meetings regularly, physically in yet mentally out. Most of the people who are still believers would shun me for nothing so currently fading. Currently re-evaluating the beliefs I have, and sifting anything Bible-related. Keep up the good work.

I can attest to the impact we have. On my channel, which is in French and caters to the francophone community in Québec, I've received at least 4 comments on different videos thanking me for waking up the commenter, or helping them see the truth and stop studying with the witnesses. Bear in mind I've only been on for 8 months and only have 219 subs...and yet, even with those small numbers, I'm having an impact. Feels real good!
