for those wondering how to get minimum cost after done finding radius and height, plug in your radius into the cost function

I've never felt so lost in math. I don't understand how to come up with these different functions for optimization problems from the words alone.

How do you find the minimum cost(cents)????
@chaeairsoft6 жыл бұрын
Im so confused because the cost of my material is written 0.01 cents per Cubic Centimeter and it is throwing me off
@bradhunt35626 жыл бұрын
As in only 1 cost for both materials?
@chaeairsoft6 жыл бұрын
I figured it out eventually, but no I only had one material but the cost was in cubic centimeters not centimeters squared which was throwing it off

Thanks so much man! Explained extremely well

your value for r completely threw me off... the cube root of 24/0.2pi is around 7.224, not the value you got. I'm so confused about this and feel like I'm going crazy missing something. Did I make a calculating mistake???

Is it possible to use a graphing utility ?

yeah you can just plug the modified cost equation into your calculator and find the min.
