I just found out Matt passed on November 29th, I came to know him after he retired and moved to Fl, We worked together at the Home Depot where he told me it was his dream to "retire and sell nails the rest of his life". I had no Idea when we became friends that this guy was THIS guy a true Hero, he was very humble and oh so funny a true friend. He slowly let me know a little of his past, I was fascinated by his stories, mostly humorous but some a little dark but I could see his hurt so I never pressed for more info than he was willing to volunteer. Sadly we grew apart moving on in life, Last time I saw him he talked about his health, pretty sure it was from being at ground zero for the weeks that followed 9/11, Rest In Peace with your Brothers my friend

@JDela105 жыл бұрын
He didn't ignore them actually. He had responded to the August intelligence report on bin Laden requesting more information. You have to remember presidents get those intelligence reports all the time. Looking back now its easy to pretend like it should have been obvious but that report told bush nothing he didn't already know. Bin Laden determine to attack America? Well, no shit! He had been saying it since the 90s. He attacked US embassies and the USS Cole. That report was not a surprise to anyone and that the WTC could be a target is also not a surprise since it was bombed 8 years before by Ramsey Yousef (Khalid sheik Mohammed's nephew). So bush did NOT ignore reports. He also wasn't privy to other information. For example, it only emerged in 2002 that an FBI agent had sent a memo up the chain calling to put together a team to investigate suspicious activity of foreign pilots in US schools. The phoenix memo it was called. Bush was never made aware of that until after the attacks. The FBI also wasn't aware that two terror suspects were in the United States, because the CIA didn't tell them etc. Bush had no reason to suspect something as big as 9/11 would happen. These fuckers were using car bombs and guns thousands of miles away he had no reason to suspect the exact scenario that happened.

@Chris Williams nobody wanted the towers to be rebuilt especially be built back in the locations of the original towers because so many people lost their lives there and as of currently the people who operated the site are dying one after another due to killer cancers. Lastly the City of New York are trying to find people to occupy the 1WTC but aren't having any luck due to what happened in the past and the people who escaped the towers on 9/11 refused to work in it after living through the horrific nightmare of 9/11. Rebuilding giant towers are absolutely pointless.

Mr. Besheer, you did everything to protect those beautiful Twin Towers from destruction. You went to the towers when they were laying in debris and tried to help everywhere as possible. It is really a tragedy that cannot be described when you digged the hole for the foundation of the towers, see them rise up, you look at them almost everyday, you feel the fear of terrorism and try to avoid any attacks on the towers, the first attack happens, you want to avoid at all cost and energy a second attack and then on 9/11 the towers gave up and fell after being smashed by two airplanes... New York and America lost the economic and political power that day along with almost 3.000 people...

Does anyone remember the video prior to 9/11 where it showed 4 Jewish men in their black robes, where one had stressed his direct order to two other men of cloth and said " the time is right, it must be done now!" This speaker had his back to the camera as he evidently had said this discreetly but someone close by caught him on camera giving this order. This video was taken down as quick as it was uploaded on KZbin. I wonder why? On the day of 9/11 somebody else caught the dancing Israeli Jews as the attacks took place. Figure that.
