EX-R Starter Box | Yu-Gi-Oh! Structure Deck Series feat. pac

The pilot episode for a new series of videos where me and my friend pac go through Yu-Gi-Oh's past structure decks...then, we battle it out with 3 of each! This'll include the occasional OCG decklist among other things. Hopefully, this marks a new potential route for my channel.
Also, I messed up and went with 15 side cards instead of 10...

The point about card advantage is why equip spells stopped being good after this format. We saw that here, where a single Fissure could destroy three cards. I don't know if they'll still be used next episode, but this episode was a pretty good showcase of the strengths and weaknesses of equip spells as a mechanic

I appreciate you guys for sharing this little part of OCG history to us. For some reason this format reminds me of the Yugi/Kaiba format from the TCG. La Jinn Mystical Genie of the Lamp and Summon Skull are the MVP of the format.

I love this old format. Was too young to play it at a high when this was the meta, though. I still use equip beat down decks. monke mode

afaik 10 cards side decks were a series 1 thing with both official rules and expert rules, this sey is from november 2000 so operates under new expert rules which ifi'm not mistaken, over all of their iterations, have always used 15 cards side decks

Oh and you could chain Ultimate Offering to the Trap Hole, tributing Ox and summoning Judge Man I believe.

Plus you should be setting cards in the back row in M2, especially with Trap Master in the format and so on.

@@PiePie453 Iirc I pointed out that I was being stupid with the setting lol, sometimes it was just accidental on impulse I learned from the Malevolent Catastrophe days but sometimes the old habit comes back lmfao

I really like the insight into the old format. Really cool to see old school yugioh again. But if you can please upgrade your mic Pac. It was actually hard to listen when you were peaking during the deck building segment.

Ah Plague, maybe do a second take during deck tech. Or write down some notes first. I'm sure with time you'll be more comfortable expressing your thoughts without interrupting yourself, but for now, no harm in using an aide.
