Ex-Spiritual people: fear of reality, externalizing blame, poor spiritual hygiene.

Many people open up spiritually without being prepared or supported and lack basic spiritual hygiene and self awareness. Many of these individuals are suffering from mental illness and have spiritually bypassed working through deeper issues or have not met developmental milestones. This can prime people to revert back to fundamentalism or strict dogmatic world views in an effort to protect the ego! Fear is at the root of it and many people have difficulty admitting that that failed to integrate spiritual experiences and psychically develop. It’s much easier for the ego to externalize blame! “ all new age, mediums, psychics, indigenous spiritualists are bad or dangerous” this is not helpful to the development of human consciousness. And it unfairly impacts less mainstreamed or marginalized spiritual communities.
