Hi, I’m Nico Murillo, and I recently got laid off from Tesla on 4/15/2024. I was a Production Supervisor, and was with the company for 5 years. I started in 2019, as an entry level Production Associate. After getting laid off, had to make the decision to sell the house. I decided to sell most of my belongings and move into my 2021 Tesla Model Y. When I worked at Tesla, I slept in my car on work days to avoid my 3 hour round trip commute time from Lathrop, Ca to Fremont, Ca. I created a platform in my trunk with the use of Michaels, Home Depot products, and a soft mattress, where I now call my home. Living in my car enables me to save money, and invest it. I am documenting my journey to financial independence by 2029. My hope is that by sharing my own personal highs and lows along this (sometimes) wild journey, you might be inspired to look into financial independence. Maybe one day i'll see you at GNC in Stoneridge Mall Pleasanton, Ca. I currently work there now as a supplements store manager. I am off Sundays and Wednesdays though.

Owning 2 teslas the quality of the build is extremely bad with the plaid steering wheel peeling off less than a year! The cheap materials made around the car from the seats to the glove box, and carpet is felt throughout. Even a civic is better made quality wise.

The materials are not the absolute best as ive seen on the production line ur right but the car is quiet, runs smooth, and costs low to maintain

Don’t forget tesla’s don’t come w a spare tire. I purchased a whole kit from automatic inflator to fix-a-flat and nail removal tool including the “fillers”. Total cost around $70-$80. Saves time and money from having to call for road side

Yes! I have a tire inflator that plugs up to the 12 volt and tire repair kit in my sub trunk!

Try the Husky kneel pads (in tile department) Depot as a sub mattress to the 3 inch topper, it’s amazing how a 2 stage mattress can feel. It’s like adding a subwoofer to a regular stereo, you end up 5 inches thick of pure sleep utopia.

Yes if u have the “LFP” battery its ok to charge to 100% Its the updated version of the battery Only the new models have the “LFP” battery

I've owned Teslas since 2013. Why aren't there any grab handles above the driver and passenger doors like many other vehicles have? None in my Cybertruck either. Kinda baffling. They put door pockets and pockets in the back of the front seat (my OG Model S did not have them) and they even put a clothes hanger hook but no grab handkes?! BTW, you are a great role model.

Yes, the front latches! That bonnet covers the "FRUNK". The rear hatch "plastic thing"? Uh, that interior trim part has a name! The rear doors, DO NOT have an interior handle to open. Hmm... Did you mention the "prepare to charge" battery conditioner? When you supercharge to 100%, good idea to allow the battery to "rest" afterwards for about 20 minutes, take a snack break. Which battery do you have, large or standard, do you have dual motors? You don't know the name of the "charge port", how does it open, how to know it is properly charging? Do you have a supercharging contract? Still on the original battery? How many sets of tires have you bought? So, it's hot. You could have demonstrated how long it took, how much battery capacity to get comfortable. The whole dash, all across, is the heat/cooling vent output? You can do a better episode about the how of good life in your Tesla. Perfect climate control hobo shelter? Cheaper than the tiny homes they are trying to set up for "homeless"? And no concern for the tenant to cause a wildfire keeping warm, having summer heat stroke.

@@NicoMurillo To each his own. With my MBA, I never need to worrying about finding a job and make good money. It has paid itself back 50x over. Bachelor's Degrees are cool but too common. If you get a higher level degree most people don't have, it separates you from the pack. Good luck in whatever you do but I wouldn't bank on making a living on KZbin. Give it a shot but very few make it. I think you are smart for investing.

I have a Bachelor's and never held a position that required one. Now I'm planning to get an MBA (Finance) but not too optimistic because of the lack of opportunities presented by the 4 year degree. Ultimately Degrees are expensive and I think people should find a way to avoid paying full price: Tuition assistance/reimbursement Scholarships Employee discount (Some schools will give you a discount on tuition if you work for the school)

The MBA cost me $25k and it has paid off 4x that investment conservatively. Anyone who tells me having an advanced degree doesn’t help simply makes absolutely no sense.
