Man, running injuries are the worst... Lol I learned the hardway too.. in the video I made about ironman training the whole thing i figured out was "do not get injured running"

I strongly believed that lack of strength training is the reason of my injuries and issues with running. Recently I started to focus on strength training more. Unfortunately also not without troubles. But you you ended up with an injury with all the strength training and knowledge applied. Something to think about. 🤔

In what heart rate range do you train for swimming? Because it is way more intense than running or cycling if you freestyle. How to build swimming endurance?

Take the trail out toward the casino. I can't remember the name of the trail but if you head down olentangy but don't go downtown go straight instead that trail goes for like 60 miles or so

Is a 70.3 iron man okay to do your first triathlon? I can give myself 1 year of training
@kandamy13 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's certainly possible for someone who's say, averagely fit to complete a 70.3 with one year of training. Just make sure you only ramp up the training slowly and be really careful with the running, which is where most injuries occur. I'm also training for a 70.3 in summer of 2022 to celebrate my 60th birthday. I've done a couple of sprint marathons before but I'm happy to have the extra time as being a little older I need to be really careful about making progressions in terms of both speed and distance really gradual to avoid injury.

Nope. Closer to 2:40 I think. I actually hobbled/ walked for about 5 miles of it. Live and learn though. I'll be really strong for my next one in either 2021 or 2022
