Do you want to attract beginners that want to learn how to paint in acrylics just for the fun of it? Or more advanced painters wanting to monetise their art? There is a huge spectrum when it comes to the type of people you can attract and if you want to start monetising your content, the clearer you are about your avatar, the better your content will become, the more “irresistible” your offers will be perceived. @@profitabletalents I want to attract rich people! HA he he just like your friend! No joking. In my real world outside of KZbin yes that is exactly who us artists want to sell to or enter that level. For YT though I want to show people that they can paint without having 10, 20, 30 years of experience. Also they can create their very own artworks for under 20 bucks. Something they created and can be proud of. So many times I have met retirees that started painting and are brilliant at it and never even knew!?! They just happened to take up a class of it and they always say I wish I started this years ago!. I want to show those people how much fun it is to paint and crated something from nothing. You and your wife know this too I think. Of course I want to make a living from it as well. Hence YT.

So not necessarily rich people that can buy/commission $100-300k metal artworks (like the artist I was mentioning in the video). You described your avatar in your last comment: retirees that want to learn how to paint just for the fun of it. You can totally create a course, program or membership to help them do just that. That’s an idea on how you can monetise your channel (the right way). Hi Katherine, I’ve just had a look at your channel and website and I see that you have a brick and mortar shop and sell soaps online, which is great. The question I would ask myself is:”what do people want?” My wife Alessia loves soaps but she would rather watch videos about soap making (they’re satisfaying to watch) and then buy the soap already made (to support the creator). So that may be the reason why people don’t want to buy a course on soap making… Have you ever thought about having a program for people that want to make soap making their profession instead? there’s more than the soap making skill to be learned there and the price can be higher. Food for thoughts 💭
