Hello sir, gz on 50k. I have a question, would it be smart to only revise applied maths from 10-20 June and not now, even though I am bad at stats at moments because I need to revise for my other exams now. Basically, what I am saying is is wise to leave all the applied revision in those 10 days to become good at stats and moments.
@BicenMaths
@BicenMaths 5 ай бұрын
It's not wise, but many students do this... and I think it's a shame, as they then don't do as well in applied as they could. So my advice is to focus on Pure, but to keep doing a few applied questions on the more challenging topics scattered throughout your revision - this will make those 10 days you have even more productive to focus on really tough questions so you are very prepared for the exam!

@BicenMaths
@BicenMaths 5 ай бұрын
I would recommend being sure of what you need to do in the question before you start your working out, and also to take your time on the algebraic manipulation - if you rush this too much, you can easily make more silly mistakes! Writing extra lines of working can be helpful. I'd also recommend reattempting a question if something is incorrect, as it's usually easier to spot your mistake when comparing two sets of working, instead of just looking for the mistake by itself.

@BritishYoutube
@BritishYoutube 5 ай бұрын
I know you were asking Sir, but honestly the graphics calculator is so useful for visualising graphs, saving you time plotting them and picking up small marks here and there, that you may forget on the day like sketching graphs for example. However, I do still think you should learn then but I found it very useful. I also found checking answers, like for example the trig functions and such very useful especially if you are trying to get that A*, small mistakes on the day could hinder you, where I think the graphical calculator could help. However, the ClassWizz FX-991EX does still have some ways to check your answers like for example differentiating with limits or integrating with limits for example and comparing your answers.
