My podiatrist said I have severe over pronation. My feet hurt exactly where you showed us. I already have orthotics and they don’t always help. I’m going to start the exercises that you explained and in time I hope to be someone who can improve from this miserable, life debilitating disorder. I’m so happy to know that someone out there sees us!

I"m in PT now for a partially torn tibia tendon after running a marathon a year ago.I'm finally being fitted for an insert after wearing a boot for a few weeks. It's stiff but I'm getting better. My problem is that I want to prevent it in the future and you mentioned that it may be due to weak hip rotation. Is it also due to a weak piriformis muscle also? I want to understand the route of the problem. thanks

I was born with club foot. I had a complete triple fusion of all mid bones and Achilles lengthened. I walk on the outer edge of my foot ( like I the inverter image on your video) I have very high arches as well . This seems strange as all Docs say it’s people with flat feet that get this PTT. Anyway I have managed for 50 yrs but I get that pain right in the exact area you are showing. When I go to walk forward and the pain is so sharp that I have to halt. In fact the only way to walk is to point my foot outwards and then I can sort of get around. Went to the podiatrist last week and at first he thought I may have osteoarthritis in the fused bones but he thinks it is the PTT tendon and taped up my leg. To my surprise this is the most pain free I have been for weeks, I was literally crying with pain before 😢 My podiatrist said it might be worth making a rocker insole for my shoe to stop me putting to much pressure on this tendon. One more thing is that ice baths work but heat doesn’t . Long term I don’t hold out much hope for this condition because it has been flaring up on and off for quite a few years and is getting more frequent as I get older. ., Thanks for your for your in-depth info.

I've been dealing with this for a year, and every time I turn my foot to the ceiling, I get a wicked cramp in my arch. I'm in stage 1 though. Also have tarsal tunnel syndrome along with it. I think my tight muscles in there are compressing my nerves. It's not as bad as it was a year ago, it's improved significantly, but I still get cramps in my foot when I try to do this move.

Is the heel raise continuum for identifying this condition a bilateral or unilateral heel raise? Someone might be able to perform a heel raise quite ok bilaterally but unilaterally will struggle.

I have both posterior and peroneal tendonitis because I had posterior and have a high arch dr put my in orthotics which gave me peroneal tendonitis. Will this exercise irritate the peroneal tendonitis?
