@@_final_warning_ a) It wasn't a cutscene since you still had control over your character/ camera during most of it. b) Most live events are effectively just advertisements for the next season/ chapter if you think about it. c) I feel like a lot of the intended hype around the Big Bang was lost because leakers already leaked all the new modes beforehand. I'm sure this event would've been a lot more exciting if we suddenly learnt of a LEGO, Racing, and Rhythm Game Mode out of the blue from this Event.

Pandora's box has been very important for the whole chapter and its very important this season as in ch5 s1 Valeria was looking for Pandora's box and she summoned it awakening the Titan and she opened the box, then in ch5 s2 Greek gods came out of the Pandora's box and Zeus wanting to fight us and we fought Zeus and he got dethroned and gave us one final gift being using the Mount Olympus statue to strike lightning at Pandora's box to unleash the Wanderer or energy from the orb of Pandora's box or the orb of Pandora's box or all 3 as they all could've been the orb to hit a desert island in the distance making a huge sandstorm with Megalo Don and his wastelanders arriving with the storm, and this season Megalo Don and his wastelanders found gems of Pandora's box to search for it and Hope wants the gems to find Pandora's box and she gets them and places all 4 gems in the gem holder she has which summons the Oracle who we heard in ch5 s2 Hope also has been important the whole chapter in ch5 s1 helping Jones save Peely, in ch5 s2 her and Jones dethroning Zeus, and in ch5 s3 her and Jones saving the island and the Oracle is also still relevant she was relevant and now back as Hope got all the gems and put them into the gem holder which summoned the Oracle and the Olympians at least some I think are still relevant most have found new domains I'm pretty sure and I think most found new domains because they are scared of the Wanderer as the Wanderer is stronger than them which explains why he was trapped in Pandora's box

One thing I can commend Fracture for is, despite the fact that it was a piss poor event gameplay wise, it did nail the atmosphere on its head with the environment, visual FX and especially the music, the music layers that compose the ambiance and background music is genuinely some of my (personal) favorites that Epic produced (shame its tied to this event)
@TheEpicGalaxy213 ай бұрын
*[WARNING: VERY LONG COMMENT AHEAD!]* I'm a bit late to this video but I think something many people tend to forget is that Fracture is/ was considered a SOCIAL Event. It says so right in the Blog Post for the event. I don't remember if they ever referred to Fracture as anything else other than "Social Event" or "Chapter 3 Finale" (Neither of which I'd say is false/ lies) The reason I bring this up is because it tells you right there what the primary purpose/ goal of this Event was. This isn't your standard "Live Event" where we're all treated to some kind of spectacle of cinematic awesomeness. This was a "Social Experience" where you and your friends were meant to hang out together whilst working towards a common goal as a community. (fixing the Zero Point) Whether this was the original/ intended purpose of Fracture, I guess we may never know for sure without insider knowledge, but the fact remains that Fracture in it's final state was NOT meant to primarily be a Storyline thing, or an Epic Spectacle. It was meant to be a taste of the "Glory" of the Metaverse. (Remember, UEFN was meant to release in C4 S1 at the time) The way this event was structured with it's 40 minutes of collecting Zero Point fragments was an intentional choice because the priority of this event wasn't to heavily progress/ reveal the lore but to give Players something special to do with their friends. The buildup is of course to create hype and the cutscenes and dialogue is to give Storyline fans SOMETHING and make sure things are connected lore-wise. This whole Social Event thing is also kind of reinforced by the fact that the primary teasers were Shorts on *Social* Media. All of this is to say that while these complaints/ problems are certainly valid. They really are only a problem if this was a LIVE Event. It's like complaining that a Comedy Film is 'Too Funny' to be a Horror Film... Except it was never trying to be one, it's a Comedy Film. The problems that make it a Bad Horror Film is what makes it a Good Comedy Film. And in this analogy, Fracture is the Comedy Film and Live Events are Horror Films. As for some more specific points: 0:52 Unless I'm mistaken, weren't there only TWO parts of Storyline Quests that season? One questline at the start and the other towards the end to prepare for Fracture. That's atleast one thing Epic has done a better job at in future/ recent seasons. Atleast we're not waiting 60+ days for our next lore quest/ tidbit! 1:19 I've always thought she was going to say "We'll need to know everything about *The Nothing."* It would make sense since the Chrome was primarily meant to be associated with The Nothing (and it was only later revealed that it was part of TLR) and I kind of just assumed that The Nothing was meant to be The Big Bad/ Main Leader of The Last Reality with the Cube Queen and Herald being commanders/ rulers over specific factions/ groups WITHIN the Last Reality. (The Cube Horde and Chrome respectively) It would also explain why The Origin couldn't tell them everything since he only knew about The Cube Horde and also The Peace Syndicate seem like a bit of a Wildcard since they're abiding by their mysterious 'plan'. 5:28 I've always thought that Epic uses Pre-Rendered Cutscenes (and The Comics) to show us stuff that's happening 'Off Island' or just not with us Loopers present. Like, we're not in the room during Jonesy's Interrogation so of course it's a Cutscene rather than an in-game scene. And we only learnt of what happened inside the Zero Point during Collision from a Comic because we didn't go in there ourselves. (Of course, this explanation implies we weren't there at the Reality Tree or for Zero Fusion) 6:30 Going back to the whole Social Event thing, I think these Flashbacks were meant to give us a sense of 'finality' to this Event. We would be entering a new Era with the Metaverse and such and so we're looking back at everything we've experienced so far. Looking at the past before going into the Future of Fortnite. Ultimately, I think Fracture suffered most from a case of misguided hype. People hyped it up as an Epic Storyline Filled Finale Live Event with us battling the Herald or Chrome or something when really it was meant to be a Social Event with us helping rebuild afterwards. (Maybe I'm reading into this too much but the teasers kind of gave me the vibe of "it's already over, now what?" rather than "prepare to fight for our lives!") Though I think that now that we've got a new CCO, we're slowly building back up with a more Storyline focus. And now? We don't even have any future major Metaverse things for Epic to make a Live Event out of either! UEFN is out, and the new modes are out too! The Disney Collab is "years away" so at this point, there's really nothing stopping them from making a Storyline-Centric Live Event again!

Your theory about the chapter 1-3 timelines being over filled a lot of holes. But why ch 3 looked like ch 1 and what about people saying that ch 5 is a alternate version of ch 2 because the seasons we get this chapter are like alternate versions of ch 2. For example we had sand instead of water, and we also have another marvel season.
@TheEpicGalaxy213 ай бұрын
It's less of a theory as much as it is a direct plot point. I'm pretty sure somewhere it was mentioned that the Black Hole Event at the end of Chapter 1 reformed everything on the Chapter 1 Island into the Chapter 2 and 3 Islands. What IS a Mystery however is where all the new POIs came from and why Chapter 3 is more Chapter 1-y than C2. My Theory is that there was secretly a flipside to the Chapter 1 Island that also got sucked into the Blackhole, and that secret Island contained all the New POIs you see in C2 and 3 which got jumbled together onto the new maps. And Chapter 3 looked more OG than Chapter 2 because perhaps the Black Hole's effect was 'weaker' on the further out flipside Island, leading to it retaining it's more Chapter 1-like shape. Also, many people think Chapter 5 is a parallel to Chapter 2 because thanks to the Big Bang, the timeline has changed. Now, In-Universe Chapter 5 comes directly after Chapter 1.

The matter from Athena, created by the black hole, was reorganized to form both Apollo and Artemis. The Herald's chrome left most of it vaporized, apart from a few bits and pieces. Asteria was mostly made up of fragments from other realities so it leaves asteria in my eyes less connected to the prior three In the video, I'm trying to understand why the flashbacks are important or was even used at all Are these being shown because the crust that made up the last three maps is pretty much gone? to remember the good times on it? otherwise what I'm suggesting the flashbacks were a gimmick that didnt really mean anything because we still have loose ends that came from them chapters

@@MrJayOWhy As I mention in my comment, Fracture is a SOCIAL Event rather than a Live Event and was likely meant to serve as a taste of the Metaverse's "glory" whilst heralding in a New Era of Fortnite. (UEFN was planned to release in C4 S1) So I could see them just using the flashbacks as a way for us to commemorate the past and be all "we've come so far" or whatever. We looked at the past as we were about to enter the Future of Fortnite with it's Metaverse.

Well it doesn't seem like anyone cares for/ wants a BR-focused Fortnite either as you guys spent much of Late Chapter 1 to Chapter 3 complaining about the game and calling it "dead/ dying". If Epic couldn't 'save' the game by focusing solely on BR, why continue sailing that supposedly sinking ship? Why not spend that time looking for their next Golden Goose? (The Metaverse)

The Metaverse was a good idea as it brought Reload and Donald came up with the Metaverse Fortnite should've listened to Donald and did the Metaverse his way
@TheEpicGalaxy213 ай бұрын
@@ryanfares263 Reload has little to nothing to do with The Metaverse. The whole point of The Metaverse is to make Fortnite MORE than just a Battle Royale/ Shooter Game, hence all the widely different Game Modes and focus on Creative Mode. The Metaverse is meant to make the game more appealing to a wider audience, not the same one that's never happy with anything. Reload is really just there to try and appease the sweaty/ nostalgic BR Players and keep them quiet while they work on their Metaverse. Also, Donald Mustard's Metaverse plan seems largely identical to what Fortnite is already doing. The only difference would've just been that we may have had to wait even longer for The Metaverse to complete and more story live events in the mean time. Which sounds great for Lore Fans, but is a massive risk in the eyes of Epic when you're constantly predicting the death of the Game.
@lightlingzooma-693 ай бұрын
@@TheEpicGalaxy21Yeha I totally agree. The game was also going to go down this route of having a metaverse with Fortnite as its ‘hub’ and being able to playing all sorts of games within frontiers, as that was Donald Mustad’s plan for Fortnite. I think what went wrong was that Donald felt that we’re starting the Metaverse too early as live events and prioritizing the lore were sacrificed to start the Metaverse. I think that if Tim Sweeeny would’ve waited a few more years so that that Donald Mustard could really stabilize the lore and answer any plot holes, then he would’ve been okay with working on the Metaverse. But as we know, Tim Sweeney didn’t do that and so he felt that he needed to leave.

Personally, I'd argue that people hyped THEMSELVES up. People were expecting a Massive Live Event where we battled the Herald or something meanwhile Epic called it a SOCIAL Event with little to no indication that there'd be any sort of fighting. Most of the teasers gave either a "Something bad is coming" or "It's over, now what do we do?" vibe. Plus, the story quests really wanted to hammer home how we were NOT going to win a fight against the Chrome. The only hint that there'd be any sort of serious action was the key art, which I'd admit is pretty silly of them. But besides that, people built up an image of an event they weren't even teasing.

@@ARHAANTALWAAR Again, I'm not saying Epic didn't hype it up. Rather, that what they were hyping up was different from what people were hyping THEMSELVES up for. As far as I'm aware, Epic only ever referred to Fracture as a "Social Event" or "Chapter 3 Finale", not once was it called a Live Event. And again, if you looked at the shorts and image teasers they released for it, they didn't give you the idea we were going to be going on some Epic Cinematic Battle or anything. Rather, the shorts just gave a looming sense of dread as something bad seemed to approach while the image teasers suggested that everything was already over and we had already lost. Also, where did Epic comment on how good or bad Fracture was?
