Examining Honor Culture and Violence in Islam (AHA Conference 2016)

From the American Humanist Association 75th Anniversary Conference on May 27, 2016, in Chicago, IL: Themoral and legal framework that the modern world is bult upon is unknonw throughout most of the Muslim world. It is of no surprise that modern liberal values are not widespread in a context where concepts such as "separation of church and state" are not understood even by those considered well-educated.
