Sounds like a normal price. Renting is not so difficult in the Philippines if you search around, there is always some good offers. Buy a house is different, brokers and owners are crazy. After 10 years living in the Philippines i have now lived almost 5 years in Costa del sol, Spain. Standard is as I expected much higher here on everything, and the sun is shining all year round. The only thing who surprised me is that life in Spain is cheaper all in all compare to Philippines. Access to young pretty girls is less here than Philippines, so i brought my wife :-). Anyway there is something magic with the Philippines, i understand people who like to retirement in the Philippines for different reasons. Well, i have kids and i want to give them a safe future and better education than they would have in the Philippines. So i will visit the Philippines for vacation only, i do love the Philippines. People is really nice there, very social and helpful. Risk of accident, robbers and killers or end up in a hospital and listening the doctors who say cash is king before they lift a finger. That`s part of life in the Philippines also. Little bit out of topic, nice video and good explain on this apartment :-).

I’ve never gotten an answer to my question on any vlogs: why do all houses in the PI have bars on the windows and doors, and large walls around the properties topped with glass or barbed wire ? Is crime that bad throughout the PI?

Its not just in the Philippines ,but even in Latin American and many Asian countries .People just want privacy and they dont want to hear neighbors quarrelling ,having parties etc .This is not new ,as well .This has been going since I can remember i.e. circa 60's .Even here ,where I live in Texas ,I have my windows secured by bars and has tall brick fences .Crimes happen everywhere .Im more fearful of walking in the ghettos of NY,L.A.,Houston etc than walking in the squatter areas in the Philippines .

yes its me Wrong! All of SE Asia is not like this. In fact, most of it isn’t. I’ve lived in Thailand and Vietnam as well as Philippines. No issues like this in those two countries. Malaysia very respectful as well. Even Bali is not dangerous like the Philippines. Stop giving misinformation
