A few corrections: 7:43 - there are maps you can find, but they act like IRL maps. There are also compasses that help with its use. 31:11 - the game only makes check point saves at the first locked door, and at the start of each floor up until the end of level 3. This incident is actually gaining power for your Thaumaturgy, which I’m pretty sure you use to enhance a spell with. The orbs are for improving you weapons and armor. The blue juice is for healing.

@isaiahjohn9642 It will vary per person, and I should say that I'm not one of the players that knows every cool combat move like grappling or shield bashing. I would say it took me a week or two to understand the mechanics, but that was back when this first came out with no guides on it. If I were you. I'd look up basic movement and combat vids where people explain how to move your cursor and swing your weapon. There is also an arena mode that is a fantastic tool to help you get better at combat. It is also really fun on its own. If you're working at it, it shouldn't take you too long to get the basics down.

6:50 so not only do you have to survive ambushes by zombies, but then you have to be careful after you win the fight because you can TRIP OVER ZOMBIE CORPSES!?!?! Wow. They put a lot of thought into this game. They even made the main character a klutz.

I've had my character trip over a zombie corpse and bash their head on a stone step. Gotta watch out for those things, they can be deadly!

Had a fight with a [redacted[ that is physically waaay more powerful than me. Hit me with the shaft of its polearm, put me airborne and then hit me again (while in the air) and left me with barely any life left. Then while it was running towards my prone character it stomped on my head and I died.

Anytime I see this game I always am reminded of that old RPG Arx Fatalis for some reason.

Yes yes, thats really great, another early access game. Exactly what I wanted, to play an endless stream of unfinished games.

I do like this game, but I really wish there was more environment variety. Caves, forests, etc.

Exanima is a prequel/test game being made in parallel with the actual game, which is called Sui Generis. They are testing combat and spells and creatures in Exanima, which is it's own small scale game, but Sui Generis will be like what you're describing: a full blown open world RPG to explore with tons of diversity. It's going to be amazing. There's some videos out on it if you wanna get an idea.

@@BlikeNavelol bro. It took these guys 10 years to design and implement one tiny ass dungeon with 3 levels. If you seriously think Sui Generis will ever see the light of day then you are on the same copium as Star Citizen fanboys.

Games only been out for 8, and the dungeon clearly has more than 3 floors😂@@fedord01

I understood you need to put extra power into your attacks with movement. As in, turn your character into the swing, or thrust while moving forward. So you start a wide sweep NOT aimed at the target, but turning into the target for the hit. If you think about swinging a real 2-handed sword, there wouldn't be much force in it if you didn't put your waist into it.
@Plystire Жыл бұрын
That's right. Any attack without body movement has a hard time dealing any meaningful damage if any. I also discovered that when you start a wide swing (not looking at the opponent) they often take that as an opportunity for them to attack and step into it. Also, if you're really good at keeping a steady aim with your mouse, the fastest way to deal with most threats is a stab to the face. An accurate stab to the face is also very difficult for the AI to block, and almost always kills outright if you step into it. It's difficult to pull off though because you need to have your mouse aimed RIGHT at their head for the entire attack while stepping forward, otherwise I find the attack aims too low.

or if you stabbin that WAP, you gotta put your back into it

Do you have Mosa Lina on your radar? It came out yesterday and I think it's a cool concept worth a look.
