Cool video and great job, but I am curious about the bucket on the machine and why it has so much slack in it with it being such a new machine?

Thank you very much. So that slack is cause of the TAG pin on coupler. They always have that slop in them even when new. Only way to go away from that is a hydraulic tension bucket style like the car 320 has when it was on this job. They stay tight always and it’s a quick disconnect style you don’t have to get out of the cab.

I don’t own this machine it was a rental. Bought a 310 this year though. This job was a reconstruction do to a failed sub grade since it was never compacted when they filled in an old retention pond. Going on 9 years operating for work, and close to 16 years total since the first time I ran a tractor on the farms/ranches I used to work on.

Looks fun but you or the machine look pain fully slow im leaning ony ou do make some pretty cool vids Looking to buy this class machine dont care what color machine . Vids of machines doing real work seem hard to come buy. Though the guy building berm with rototilt is freaking cool hes truly talented

@@evanmiller1642 not sure how to respond to the slow moving, this machine is easily quicker that most I’ve ran before. And I’ve personally never been called a slow operator. Not sure what you’re expecting out of a machine this size. And ya there some people out there that can work these machines like a Cnc mill

What size bucket was that. Even for a compact radius machine it seemed to handle it well and not be tippy over the side even stretched all the way out

It did a fantastic job with that bucket. It was a 48” bucket. I guessed it was about 3/4 yard capacity.

Man the 15ton compact radius cat can run really big buckets. On the 314e (Basically the same machine, except it has no def and some minor quality of live arent there yet) that i operated for about two years, i was running the grading bucket of our 320d for some time because my tilt bucket was refurbed. The machine was handling that very well. Of course full bucket over the side got a little bit tippy but thje rest was totally fine
