In Australia we call them quick hitches and I don't believe I have ever seen, worked on or operated an excavator of any size other than mining or quarry that didn't have some kind of quick hitch, including Bobcat's clunky and ridiculous variety. Hydraulic-operated quick hitches are far better than gravity and are the norm, it is really unproductive to get out of a machine and have to beat the pins out of your 30t excavator's GP bucket to switch to a grading bucket, or a hammer, auger drive, tynes, packing wheel, etc, etc.

I have a kubota mx5200 with bh92 backhoe without the quick attach. Can I change it to a quick attach coupler. When I bought it I didn't realize how much time it takes to switch out the buckets by removing the two pins everytime.

The pin that you pulled out on the mechanical coupler was greased when I bought my kx057-5. Is it supposed to be greased? I can see it collecting a lot of dirt. My new werk brau buckets do not accept the pin very easily. May even need a hammer to get it in and out. I am hoping that once it wears in, it will be easier.

Yes, lightly grease the pin.

Just a Question. Did you see CASES pin Retraction system they showed at Con- Expo. The pins just retracted inside the Dipper holes haven't seen a lot of them in use sense the show. just wondering if you have seen that system, and what you thought of it. Thank you

I have not, Kubota is selling a similar setup we have sold. Keeps the bucket tighter to the dipper than a pin grabber.

its a pin-grabber. Mechanical or hydraulic and works from the seat.

+Aldi More no, a pin grabber coupler could use the pin on buckets. Kubota has another option that uses a locking pin from the rear, but needs different buckets. Companies like werk-brau kinda enable you to have whatever you want.

is there a button or bolt to help release pressure off the hydraulic lines when switching to different attachments. I have the quick connect attachments but the hoses are always very hard to connect

James Dilbone I have had 3 john deere tlb 110 and the quick couplers on the front hydraulics give me tons of trouble....most of the time it is my grapples that have gotten hot causing the fluid to expand...I’m sick of having to use wrenches to bleed of the pressure....

Has there been a solution for releasing pressure without breaking lines,, I have a new kubota kx71, trying to figure out how to attach the breaker

I have seen something like a pressure release on an “ASV” .......it was right where you would couple the hoses....I have not found anything for mine yet.....sometimes it is the machine holding pressure, sometimes its my grapples holding pressure.....when its my grapples I use wrenches to bleed the pressure.....

Nothing wrong with this video, but just want to say, America is so far behind the times, this stuff is so primitive. In Europe, all they use are Engcon tiltrotators and such. I'm just blown away that we haven't caught up yet. Are we not supposed to be a world super power?

That stuff's widely available here. Two reasons it's not very popular, it's wildly expensive, and also takes away from your breakout forces.

Why don't you have a hydraulic quiks coupler. It is much more eficient and easy to work with
