It took me an hour to figure out the Data validation @2:06:00. Incase if anyone is stuck there, make sure that the cells are named according to the city before using the =indirect() function. You have to go to Formula tab> Name Manager and then create names for the range of cells according to the drop down list you want the end result to correlate to, otherwise the indirect function will not work.

Absolutely wonderful video Simplilearn!! Just found it and I am working my way through it. It is very clear and I really love it! I did run into a problem with one of the countif formula (approx 1:31:30) used to answer the second question. In the question, it says to find the sales person who made more than 3 sales. When you paste the countif formula to the rest of the table, the range reference changes making the sales reps at the bottom half of the table to fail the criteria. Can be avoided if the range is static (i.e.$C$2:$C$44). Or did I misunderstand the question?

I think it depends on what type of job you're looking for. I want do something along the lines of data analysis so having excel skills is a plus. In fact I think learning excel is beneficial because many low teir jobs in data analysis ask just to have intermediate skills. They may pay like crap but it puts you're foot through the door imo.

How to fill NA values in financial dataset with last observation carried forward (LOCF) ? having a CPI dataset from 1989 to 2008 for all the countries .. does filling a LOCF affect the graph ? for example in 1988 Bolivia CPI =23.34002 but Brazil CPI = NA next value for brazil start from 1998 only having 10NA values above that . so if we fill the 1998 CPI value to above all NA areas for brazil will give totally wrong insights compare to Bolivia right ?

However, the dataset you are using, especially the one named Welcome to excel isn't in the Google drive file. Meanwhile, couldn't find it in my own version of excel.
