@@julienpuertas9253 let me tell you something from my actual experience. I went to a boot-camp to learn web development for 1 year and after we finished they put us in a program for job coaching which was absolutely waste of time the coach didn't know any technical skills He used to show up every time giving us a very generic information that I could have got simply from KZbin which what he was doing by the way he used to send us KZbin mock-up interviews and it was not that relevant because as a web developer you have to go through also technical interviews and we all lacked this part as students like we didn't know what to expect and didn't get any training regarding this. Now moving to the other issue when we applied to companies as junior web developers not all the companies but the majority of the companies were requesting to have a degree in computer science and every time I used to apply I used to get rejected, telling me that they have found someone more suitable which is of course someone with a degree will have a priority over someone who hasn't. Coming to a conclusion at the end I wish I would have self-taught myself and saved a lot of money and time.

1. you do not need to know coding for Data analysis(DA). 2. Power BI is a must have since its one of the major drivers for DA. 3. Networking will work in favour in terms of job hunting, or build a portfolio showcasing your talent when marketing. It is 100% possible to venture into the IT sector. Also top your skills with Databases certification. I am from South Africa and opportunities are wider in the west as opposed to Africa. Do not limit yoursef. Thats my 2 cents opinion

I think you should try and join online interest groups. You will learn from others and people in the interest group will get to know you. You might have a comfortable situation, when you are going for an interview, the interviewer/s will already know you! Start your own project, such as analytics on your favorite sports team/league, and discuss the difficulties you encounter on your project, asking for ideas. If you could get to an interest group where you plan to work, that would be good.

Is anyone out there on the spectrum? I have an aspergic, dyslexic son who is highly accomplished in gaming reaching high levels very quickly, he is also an accomplished artist, managed to get 5 GCSE's and two BTec level threes, went to uni to do a degree in game design in lock down (which was a disaster) and is only now just rebuilding confidence and is interested in Data analytics. He has completed an SQL course. recommendations please

With aspergers comes hyper focus so if they gen interested then all good..but when it comes to writing code in Python etc then dyslexia might be an issue

Which courses are good to cover for data analyst on datacamp? Is it good to cover up the courses on datacamp?
@careerfoundry2 жыл бұрын
Datacamp's definitely a great product for practising your coding skills; particularly the modules on SQL are a big help. If you'd like to get 1:1 feedback on your work, build out your portfolio, and get career coaching, then we'd recommend the CareerFoundry Data Analytics Program: careerfoundry.com/en/courses/become-a-data-analyst/
