Thank you for the review! I have been debating on trying LIFT myself. Love the Carpro products. Don’t think they have a bad one in their line up. I will be adding Lift and 3D to my next order. Hopefully they can help with the winter grime here in Indiana!!

For my prewash I like to use McKees N914 rinseless wash in an ik multipro sprayer. 1/2oz product, 50 oz water. If you’ve used it before you know the lubricity is insane plus it helps lift any loose contaminants.. Then I use Lift in the foam cannon to get the heavier dirt/grime off and Reset in the hand wash. As a topper I like CarPro’s Reload spray too every other month. I haven’t tried Reset in the foam cannon so that was cool to see the comparison!

Great review. Answered all my questions better than other reviews have. Ordered a bottle of Lift to try for Cape Town rainy season. Best pre soak I’ve ever used is ValetPro Advanced Neutral Snow Foam. It has Citrus pre soak in the mix so it pulls off the most dirt, insects and road grime from rainy weather. Dilution isn’t great though, 2 parts product to 3 parts water, so it didn’t work out cost effective. My go to is now Autoglym Polar Blast, it’s great, foams super thick, dwells long but keen try Lift for a bit more kick for rainy season.

The ph of the product isn’t necessarily going to tell you if it’s going to strip something. You can have a high ph product that will be wax safe and you can have a ph neutral product that will be damaging to LSP’s. If you increase the dilution ratio of a ph neutral product that you think is safe, it doesn’t mean that it is safe at a stronger dilution. I appreciate the test, but if you’re gonna compare the cleaning power of products, you should test them all at the same strength say 5% pir so you have a level playing base.
@BelLavoroAutoSpa3 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I did mention there is more to cleaning than ph levels. If you want to take the time to calculate PIR % then by all means. I am not much of a math person so I just went off the reccomended dilution and a ph test another channel did. Was just elaborating how it is a neutral ph once diluted.

This product is expensive. It’s fantastic, but expensive. Would using a pump sprayer instead of a cannon foam result in using less product, thus reducing the cost per wash? Would it clean as well? I think I’ll try it.
@BelLavoroAutoSpa2 жыл бұрын
Carpro definitely is a premium price but everything they make is top notch. I think you would be able to save product as well because you would need less soap in a pump foamer!

Gyeon foam, Snow+ from nv car care, GSF + GC. Those are a few. I have used Gyeon foam and works pretty well. High PH value undiluted, pretty much PH neutral diluted. However, it is costly. The dilution ration is 1:5 😱

Yea that's my gripe with Bilt Hamber. Too expensive to keep using at $49.99 US for 5 liters plus shipping. If these other products ever make their way to major retailer wholesale programs I'd be more inclined to get them!

I have not, though a lot of people do add various all purpose cleaner/degreasers in with their wash soap as a pre wash. Personally I just like using purpose made products, but everyone has their way of doing things.

Really enjoying your videos and am considering these two. But what's your take on saving some money and mixing up the affordable Turtle Wax wash and some Dawn dish soap depending on how dirty the car is?
@BelLavoroAutoSpa Жыл бұрын
dish soap is for dishes, provides no lubrication to protect your paint from scratches during the wash process and leaves a residue behind. if you want a strong and economical strip wash, 3D super pre soak is a great value considering how little is needed.
@matsudakodo Жыл бұрын
@@BelLavoroAutoSpa pro window cleaners use Dawn with a squeegee and there is no residue left behind. Oil spill disaster workers use Dawn. It has many uses, not just for dishes :). I'm saying add the Dawn to the car wash shampoo for extra cleaning power. You'd have plenty of lubrication already, even though we're talking about a prewash. The Slick & Slide wash you checked out seems like a good candidate for its low-cost per wash.
@BelLavoroAutoSpa Жыл бұрын
@ericfranke1637 no visible residue. Glass is a very different substrate than clear coat. Glass is incredibly hard and doesn't require the same level of meticulous care as automotive clear. No need to cut corners, car shampoos are generally pretty cheap and you'll only save a few dollars and sacrifice a lot of quality with dawn.

@@BelLavoroAutoSpa noted. Thanks!

By the way, not trying to discount your experience, but dish soap has plenty of lubricity. So much that they use it to apply window tint and paint protection film.

from your experience, the lift vs Reset, in terms of car protection, sealant wax and the like, did you know if the Lift will remove the protection applied to the car?!

Yes. PPVB requires a lot of product if you read the dilution ratios. It is cheap, because it is not as highly concentrated as products like these. They also serve different purposes. PPVB is good as a strip wash or for really dirty vehicles. Lift is for a pre wash on dirty coated cars. I use 3D Super Pre Soak now in place of PPVB. I have a video on that as well.

Ummmm I’ve had awful results using even as little as 1/2 an ounce when I added it to CG watermelon foam to carry it. Every time I use PP it leaves a nasty residue that is extremely hard to get off. If the sun bakes it on by chance, it has to be polished off. Also makes black trim very chalky. Can’t rinse it off, have to spray wax it, no guaranteed results. I used to put 1 ounce PP 2 OZ foam soap, but using even the slightest amount is just way too alkaline for cleaning vehicle paint. It’s a 13 on the pH scale
