Jon, i'd like to see how it works against GT's Snowfoam and IW's Powerfoam, as those 2 are impressive in my tests. Powerfoam can go down to 50:1 dilution, has great cleaning in its own right (+corrosion inhibitors), but when you combo it with the Citrus Prewash product, its stunning. It works well removing road film and salt for me, esp during winter. ❄🚗❄

Sometimes I think these detailing product companies just invent new categories of product to sell more product. If you are watching this channel, you probably wash your car once every 2 weeks, probably more often, and your paint is likely protected with something. Do you really need anything more than a good pH neutral soap? Is your car really that dirty? Does a snow foam really lift away more dirt than a good water presoak/spray? Detailing is great but stick with the basics, and condense your supplies down to what you really need.
@michaelnaughton13932 жыл бұрын
I agree with you. They are just like Mexican food... All the flat breads are the same thing just folded in a different way. Detailing products could also be the first World manifestation of the Emporers new clothes.

Spot on Cheemo. Pre washes are really only meant for unique situations where a pre rinse doesn't remove the majority of dirt. CarPro has been on a role lately with "money grab" products. They just released a new tire cleaner with a foaming trigger, and people testing it have gone through an entire bottle in one car 😂

@KojakKronos2 жыл бұрын
It's reasonable to assume that Lift is better suited for ceramic coatings, but CarPro don't mention this and they are usually accurate with their product descriptions (e.g. Reset is a ph neutral car shampoo for ceramic coatings). So Lift comes across as an alkali pre-wash snow foam (they state that it will strip waxes and some sealants), but based on your findings there are much better options out there.

Hoping you see this comment given it’s on an older video 😀 what is your favorite prewash or treatment for a ceramic coated vehicle and would you recommend a different method for a non coated car that just has detail spray protection each wash. Weekend enthusiast here with 3 very different vehicles. One that’s my baby with a coating. One that’s a new expensive that I try to maintain. And a third that is my 10 year old work truck that I do my best with but does get driven through the car wash weekly. But people tell me it still looks new also.
@ForensicDetailing28 күн бұрын
I'd probably just say whatever the coating supplier is use their wash system.
@BryanRushing28 күн бұрын
Thank you for the response!! I don’t know what the coating is actually. Came with the truck. I know it’s 3 years old, was told it’s a 4 year coating, but still performing relatively well as far as I can tell. It does have some water spotting I’m trying to figure out my best approach to addressing. I’m probably overthinking all this but appreciate your I’m professional insight 😊 How about suggested prewash approach for car without a costing but hers detail spray as drying agent each wash?

I guess for the reason’s mentioned about bulk price being a bit high and not being a super strong cleaner…it certainly will do the job intended - the dirt simulator is exactly that, a simulator just to give an idea of a products power to clean. The autobead product is great definitely although it’s not a snow foam so we have to compare like for like

Nice fair and balanced review 👌 great trio of comparing to another product, used on ‘real world dirt’ and the dirt simulator. I’m a CarPro fan (Reset is such an awesome shampoo) and maybe a little disappointed it didn’t do better. Tried it 3 times on a fairly dusty/dry road/mud films. Did near nothing. Car's Ceramic and has ppf at the front. I just don't get how Lift is so popular. Sure the foam looks cool, its a nice show. But down the line, i am not convinced at all that this method actually makes a big difference compared to just doing a good water spray and using Erase after. It seems more like a waste of time and more importantly, a waste of money.

Hi John, This question has nothing to do with the video but something I've been thinking about recently. What would you recommend for someone having a skoda as a daily driver who just wants to keep it looking as nice as possible. No machine polishing just yet, just something to fill in the light swirls and then some protection on top? I have Bilt hamber Touchless, Auto wash and some other wash products. Haven't tried polishing so was thinking of some easy glaze and then Double Speed Wax or Fusso Coat on top... Can you give some advice and also what prep would you do before all of this?
