Apparently there’s a dedicated online Wimmfi group for this game that hosts races every so often. The music of this game is genuinely my favorite part of it. it’s so.. different and cool, with seemingly random time signature changes that actually make the songs better somehow, and futuristic instruments and stuff

Funny you brought this game up. Just a couple of weeks ago I booted this game in dolphin. I never got to play it proper dud to it never being released in EU. The Wii has lots of hidden gems that people seem to forget about first and third party.

Bro I’m so glad you talked about this game! The only reason why I played this game was because I played the first title, called excite trucks! You’re 100% right! Don’t let the box art fool anyone! This is a tremendously fun game! I haven’t played it in years since when it came out in 2009, but man this is crazy awesome fun game! I was so hoping for them to make a 3rd after this, but they never did. I truly wish Nintendo would go back to making more racing games like this!!! This was a true gem of a game! 💎 🎮🙌🏻

Dude, this game was my childhood! It's like the most meta, challenging (especially during the final levels) racing game. I still play it sometimes to this date. I honestly got so good at this game at one point, I would play online multiplayer and win almost every match with the bat as my main. Good times.

I used to play the online of this game WAY BACK and it was great. Everybody always played either Guatamala or the Nebula stage, and about halfway through each race the connection would drop because I had bad internet. Still one of the best Nintendo racing games!

I do remember playing this game for HOURS and it's not even for collecting the colors, but just how fun it was to play the game. I did forget what the game was called so seeing this video really made me go through memory lane of me destroying my brother at this game

The very first time I knew this game existed was seeing this game at walmart with a wii wheel bonus. The cover alone was enough to make me want this game and this game is one of the best games I ever played. And it's one of my most favorites. Actually, I just 10 minutes ago decided to see what any excitebots speed running there is. Because I never been a speed runner but youtube recommends videos of it all the time. And excitebots is probably the only game I would ever bother with for speed running.

This game is actually so so so sooo underrated. I really loved the concepts of the animals as the racers. It's something so unique and cool to think about. The speed at which it goes is sooo fast and fun! It also has so many different features like the bar boost. This game is one of my favorites, even to date.

Honestly my favorite game on the wii. Me and my brothers didn’t even pick, it out our cousins gave it to us because they didn’t want it and when I tell you the countless hours we spent on that game. I remember waking up at the super early and seeing my brothers literally two inches away from our giant box tv grinding the same map to try and get S. Those were the best memories of my childhood. Thank you for giving this game some appreciation. Btw the lizard was the best one

I loved this game so much, the music was great and the designs were cool, the problem came with the bar mechanic, which required precision and speed, something a 5-10 year old doesn't fully understand, and the extra events could come up at the worst time possible.

I love this game. I struggle with the controls a little ( motion & gyro controls in general tend to feel awkward & unintuitive to me ) but it's a marked improvement over Excite Truck. And omg the soundtrack is amazing ( as tends to be the case with Nintendo's IPs )...it's such a crime that not one song from it has been used in Smash yet the jungle theme from DKC gets like a dozen remixes... oh, and Excitebots is actually the 6th game out of 7 so far in the Excite franchise.... I started to remember this game recently, and I went on an adventure to find out what this game is called. It really is one of my favorite games of all time, I didn't even know it was a nintendo game. Sucks that its not on anything but the Wii though, it would be great on PC with the mouse working as motion controls, as well as working great with the switch.

I fell like ExciteBots is the type of game that would work really well as a remake or re-release, It's the most "Nintendo" racing game I can think of so it might pique the interest of those who already own a switch and sell a few systems for the few people who enjoyed ExciteBots that much but don't own a Switch.
