The colour reminds me of euchalyptus, a common tree around Sydney (and the rest of Australia). Love this colour

I experimented with a little ink mixing a while back, adding some Diamine Aurora Borealis to a base of Diamine Earl Grey, and the resulting color reminds me of this ink quite a bit. I nicknamed it "Cola Bottle Teal", because it kind of reminded me of that teal-y tint to the class of old Coke bottles.

That sounds divine! What a great idea to mix the two, and I love “cola bottle teal.” :)

What a gorgeous color! And I love the Kaweco Perkeo. I like the colors of the Sport, but they always feel so small in my hand, even when I post the cap.

If Kaweco could offer the fun color selections that the sports provide, then I would definitely buy some non-clear versions!

I have the Perkeo as well. It's a great pen. It doesn't get alot of coverage. Not sure why.

I agree, don’t hear about it much, but it’s a great!

Oh my goodness! This ink checks all of the boxes for me…this one is a win!! This color reminds me of a more saturated Sailor type color. That’s great for those of us that have eyes that are getting a little “up there in age.” I’ve read in my research that vintage pens with rubber sacs aren’t to be used with Japanese inks as they tend to have a higher Ph that can excelerate the degradation of the rubber. Robert Oster inks always seem to be great alternatives for those unique Japanese-esque colors, in my opinion.

Absolutely! It does remind me of the multi-shading sailor inks!

Wow that looks so great. This video, together with last Friday's Goulet Pencast have inspired to order some samples and Goulet's new sample vile holder. Oh boy!

They came out with a vile holder??? Will take a look!

I love my Kakunos. I also don't like the color choices for Kakunos so I typically get the clear one. Although the recent "Family" Kakuno series has fun transparent colors and I got the "Papa." What is enticing about the Perkeo is that it takes Standard international large cartridges which hold a whopping 1.7ml of ink. I hate Pilot's converters and their cartridges only hold .8ml. So I think I I'll get one! Thanks for the demo.
@lianelikes2 жыл бұрын
You’ll definitely have to give it a try! The Kaweco sport converters don’t work in the perkeos, unfortunately…

I’ve been wanting this ink for awhile now. They were sold out when I did my order from Pen Chalet. I wish I’d checked before doing my JetPens order. We don’t have easy access to Robert Osteo here in Toronto.

Oh I’m sorry to hear that RO inks are hard to come by in Toronto!

I have a Perkeo in pink...and I just hate it. It's so...plastic. I'm wondering if this clear material is thicker or heavier. Mine is so lightweight it feels hard to control. I love the color of this ink. It's very different from any inks I already have. Hmmmm...
@lianelikes2 жыл бұрын
You know, the perkeo is a bit lightweight, and I didn’t like the colors of the opaque pens and therefore got the clear (which I don’t regret). I liken it to a pilot kakuno…
@beccacarrillo2 жыл бұрын
@@lianelikes I've never tried a Kakuno. Maybe I just don't care for lightweight pens. I don't care for Kaweco sport pens either (I only have one). Nice to have choices so we can all choose what fits. :)

I’m curious, what are some of your favorite affordable pens that have a bit more weight to them?
@beccacarrillo2 жыл бұрын
@@lianelikes Depends on definition of affordable, I think. :) Personally, I like the TWSBI (I have two Eco's which are good, but I prefer the 580's) but my new favorite affordables are the Kaweco Student Pens...the ones with the ivory barrel and colored caps. They are so comfortable in my hand and they write so smoothly. I have four of them now.
