My problem is when my husband pets or talks to our 11 month old submissive rescue dog she pees. It happens all the time not just when he comes home.

I have this same exact issue with my Cane Corso, I just petted her and she couldn’t help but urinate.

My pup pees outside so often, but still excited pees. Usually on my expensive couch of my favorite blanket. It makes me so annoyed.

Thank you the tips! My Yorkie has been excitement urinating since I got her. It can get embarrassing especially when company comes over and I have to clean up pee everywhere. I hope she’s grows out of it. In the meantime I will try to implement these techniques to see if our helps.

My dog alwas does this everytime when i pet him or when i tell him to sit when i put on or take him off he's leash... so i just spread my feet aprt everytime he's in front of me so my legs wont be sprayed wet..

My daughters dog does not calm down. I always ignore her mini dachshund, but she still pees trying to greet me. Also, I could be sitting on the sofa watching tv and she will jump in my face licking, scratching, and peeing. I doesn't matter that you've been with her all day anytime she wants to say hi she gives you a squirt.

Then I may look into imaging the bladder to make sure there are anatomical issues with her urinary tract. I would also try to get all her pee when I first get there by greeting her on the grass outside and trying to get her worked up. This was that is one less episode.also training her to not get on furniture would be another part of the plan. Putting on a washable pad/diaper would be another option

I have a female mastiff who pees with excitement whoever my husband comes home from work. She is definitely a "Daddy's girl". She has done this when other people come to our house to visit, but its something she only does when greeting a male and then only someone she knows very well and likes. It's the strangest thing. If you have any advice, I would appreciate it. Ps she is 5 years old.

My dog is an excitement urinater and I’ve realized that she only pees around me if she hasn’t seen me for hours and I guess it’s because normally my presence is constant around her so I’m not exciting to her all the time

@@chhichi8961 I ignore them, let them out outside immediately. After that, you can give affection. Do not give affection when you get home because they get excited.

This was my foster dog. She got so excited all the time. Ignoring her and waiting for her to calm down didn't work. She would jump all over you or go crazy whining and shaking her crate.

My son's sheepadoodle does this all the time and it's so aggravating. When she's on her period it's worse. Go to put a diaper on her. She pees from excitement and sits in it. Go to take the diaper off and she pees from excitement.

Same for me, idk what to do... My friend's dog pees tinkles constantly throughout the day, from whatever random thing that excites them. Do the diapers work?

This problem is due to the breed of dog. Any breed mixed with a poodle will do this. Any dog with submissive tendencies or the kind that rolls over as soon as it sees you and immediately gets in a submissive posture. Dogs that won’t do this behavior. Terriers, pointers, Shepards, Healers or any dog with a fearless nature. If you get a Cockapoo though there’s going to be pee everywhere.

I'm not sure that I could support the statement. I think people tend to treat little dogs differently than big dogs IE they have them pee on pads in the house instead of training them to go outside.

This is not true. I've seen this issue with corgis and never heard of it from anyone else.

Not true. It strictly depends on the dog. My German shepherd female is experiencing this
