I have some exciting announcements for you! It's been a long time coming, but I've almost finished the CSCS chapters, and have begun recording live lectures for the new CPSS certification. Plus, for the last year I've been on a new hybrid athlete training journey where I am training to deadlift 500 lbs and run a sub 5-minute mile in the same day. Dr. Jacob Goodin is a professor of kinesiology at Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU), and holds a PhD in Sport Physiology and Performance from East Tennessee State University. He has over a decade of experience as a strength and conditioning coach and sport scientist from the high school to NCAA Division I levels. In addition to his role as a professor and research mentor, Dr. Goodin directs the Athlete Monitoring Initiative at PLNU, which provides testing and monitoring services to over 200 athletes yearly as well as research opportunities for kinesiology students.

I’ve got to comment on this one for sure! I just finished up my graduate program this past January, and you’re lecture videos helped a great amount with me passing the CSCS. I know work as a Performance Science Assistant with a professional baseball team, and I’m looking forward to taking the CPSS later this year!
