The pin-out for the RS-232 cable is only partially accurate!!! 😡😡 It is pins 4,5 AND 6. A ground is REQUIRED for RS-232 communication. DB9 Pin 2 (RXD) -> T-568B Pin 4 (Blue) DB9 Pin 3 (TXD) -> T-568B Pin 5 (White/Blue) DB9 Pin 5 (GND) -> T-568B Pin 6 (Green)

I am about to give this a try. What position are the dip switches? The instructions say address "0", but the manual doesn't have a zero all up is 64 and all down is 63. The video shows address 1, so what setting did you use?

Mine didn't ship with the RS-232 or the RS-485 cable. Had to call SS to get them ordered. Received the 485 but am still waiting on the 232 cable. I REALLY wish they would be more specific on the pinouts of the cable so I can build my own. Which pin is RX and which is TX? Also where does the ground connect?

⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠@@vwman2002generally I would assume most likely be EIA/TIA-561 standard. However since he mentions pin 4/5, it might be the old SGI null modem standard that was used by tons of folks. Pin 4 (8p8c) - Rx -> Pin 3 (db9f) Tx Pin 5 (8p8c) - Tx -> Pin 2 (db9f) Rx Pin 6 (8p8c) - gnd -> Pin 5 (db9f) gnd The cross of course being because it’s a null modem. Worst case the tx / rx are flipped which is an easy fix.
