Good evening, I think you need to make a Chanel style suit to go with your brooch, what a fabulous piece of jewellery. Love Rach’s blouse, look forward to seeing it on her, hopefully she had a good birthday! My favourite item tonight has to go to your hats, I LOVE a bucket hat, I buy them for the boys, then pinch them, as the women’s rarely fit me, actually I love all hats! I just crocheted one, didn’t like the colour I chose, so unravelled it all, but like you, now I have made one I will make another, wool isn’t the best fabric for our ‘mini’ heatwave! Enjoy the sun and your weekend 🙂

Thanks Mandie. You have a big head like me? It must be because we have creative brains 😂 Rachel had a lovely birthday. A day at the seaside. She definitely had beautiful weather. Maybe I should have a go at crocheting something, maybe later in the year. Need to focus on that summer cardigan, that has been hanging around for an age! Enjoy the sun and happy hat crocheting ❤️

The broach truly looks like a labor of love. It's very lovely and you have some nice ideas about how to wear it. You have made some great things, as usual. I love the flounce dress. It will really suit you. I think we are having the same kind of summer here in the Seattle area that you are having in the UK... a smattering of sun here and there. I don't know why I bothered to get out my summer clothes. Happy sewing, Kim.

Thanks Kathy. Hopefully I'll get the flounce finished this week. Experimenting with bust adjustment! I always laugh to myself as us Brits are obsessed with talking about the weather, weather and tea 😂! I need to go through my wardrobe and do so culling and decide what to keep out for summer and store the rest away until later in the year. Happy sewing Kathy ❤️

Fantastic makes, your black blouse is on my list, and I wish I could make a brooch like yours!👏

Thanks Joanna. I forgot I had that blouse and it's so comfortable because of the stretch. I'm sure you can make a brooch. Believe me if I can, you can, anyone can. ❤️

I love what you are wearing. The project bags are just awesome! The bucket hat is stunning!

Thank you. I love bucket hats. I try, if I have enough fabric left, to make hats with left over fabric. The Orange Bettie is great because you have more pattern pieces so you can always find a bit of fabric it will fit on. Happy sewing ❤️

Oooh! I'm intrigued Kim. What is a job where you have to wear black? Your brooch is absolutely gorgeous. 😍 It would even look perfect on just a plain black cashmere sweater in the Winter? Such beautiful makes as always. 😘 Funnily enough I am making the flounce top also.

Thanks Vanessa. I'm struggling a bit with my flounce. I'll be trying to sort it out tomorrow. My job is unique and I love it. I'm a cosmetic tattooist. I tattoo eyebrows, eyeliner and lips, but I also specialise in skin camouflage. I wear black stretch jersey when working so I can manoeuvre around my patients' bodies without my clothes restricting my movement. It gets a tad hot in the summer! Haha ☀️ I need to treat myself to a black jumper... maybe in the Autumn ❤️ Fingers crossed I get my flounce dress finished for next week's recording 🤞

@@stash_stitcher Wow!!! 😲I would have never guessed that. I thought you did something with great precision just by how you tackle all your sewing projects. I thought maybe an architect until you said you wear black-then I was completely thrown.. That is incredible. How long do you have to train for that kind of profession? I am struggling too with my flounce Kim. Did you overlock the raw edges of the flounce or do you plan to do a small rolled hem? 🤔

@@van_vinos66 I trained for two years with ongoing training each year. It's quite scientific and precise. You have to have a steady hand. I overlocked my flounce only because I'm using cotton. It looks OK. Isn't it funny how simple makes test us, any little thing that doesn't look right shows up more! I'm tweaking ❤️

@@stash_stitcher You're far more advanced than me in sewing Kim. I was thinking of overlocking also. I am making mine in a white linen. God knows how it will end up. 😜

@@van_vinos66 oh Vanessa you'll laugh when you see what's happened to mine. OMG I might have been sewing for longer but I have really struggled with this one. Wait and see 🤣❤️
