Coventry fan here, I went to the cup final in 1987, when I was 12. Great to hear from David, an absolute legend of the game. Good luck to Spurs this season.

I was there too, as a 15 year old it was my first trip to Wembley. Yes, we lost but that day is still looked back on fondly as you just don't get cup finals like that now, what a day that must have been for you guys! Always keep an eye on you guys and hope one day we'll see you back in the top division. Also as echoed in the by Jason the 86/87 season was a privilege to watch and in terms of just enjoying seeing that team play regardless of where we ended up is probably the most enjoyable season I've known as a Spurs fan.

Really good interview with a true gem. Wonderfully knowledgeable about so many years of British football, and across many of our divisions, and even other countries leagues.

What a show , one of LWOS best shows. Pleat is an amazing footballing legend. Loved all the insights, I'm sure many of the disheartened fans would be more appreciative if we had the likes of David Pleat sharing the ins and outs of running a club like THFC. Well done boys. 👏🏼 great show.

Just listen to the man who has all the inside knowledge and now start to respect Levy and the brilliant work he has done for the club. Yes, we need trophies and they will come if we are patient. Ange needs at least 3 years to succeed.

Really enjoyed this. I know I am getting the book for Christmas. The frightening thing is I saw David play for Exeter against Spurs in a League Cup match at WHL. I think it was about 1968 ending in a 6-3 win for Spurs. He may have scored one of their goals.

It was Glenn Hoddle who was in charge of the cup final against Blackburn. He was tactical beaten by Mark Hughes on the day and was the beginning of the end of his managerial career at Tottenham. I have never felt so low after a game as we just never turned up for that cup final😢

Great interview by the way. Pleats 86/87 team was my first memory of Tottenham. It was a shame that team never won anything after going close in both cups and the league

Cheers Ricky, Jason and David for a fascinating listen. David is a legend and a proper football man. Listening to his insight confirms to me that some youtubers and fans alike dont have a scooby about the complexities behind a football club and how difficult it is to actually win...COYS.

Mourinho should have been fired the morning after the Dinamo game in Zagreb. Only Daniel Levy knows why he was given more time after that disgrace and, years on, provide that fraud, the opportunity to speak about winning "half a trophy" at Spurs.
