Terrific and unexpected guest. Thanks for having him, Alex, and for sharing this video. It does make my heart feel more for Tuchel. I'm not one of those who looks back with rose-tinted glasses and I recall things being tough near the end, even before the sanctions. I didn't love the rigidity at the time of the way we played and overreliance on the width. I felt we were figured out and had no solutions. That said, you gotta wonder if he'd have turned things around. Perhaps related is that he seemed to have a lot going on personally around the time of the sanctions as well which just exacerbated his struggles, on and off the pitch. I will always wish him well, but I don't think he's our future in any case - if for no other reason than it's not the owner's vision. A new generation of managers are coming up and the game is changing (as always). With Alonso, Arteta, Slot, and others coming up, managers like Poch, Tuchel, and even Pep are having to stay on their toes or fall behind. One of these has succeeded at doing so, and it's not surprising which. And even younger managers than those 3 mentioned!
