I have grown to appreciate even the aggressive auditors because, so many times, we see officers who don't know how to deal with people suffering from dementia or the general effects of autism. Sean can sue them for threatening arrest if he doesn't comply, but actually being arrested will get him in front of a judge much faster and have more substantial results than just bringing a federal lawsuit for violating his constitutional rights. If the goal is to have that policy removed, then he had to take the arrest in order to make the change. That is why he was able to affect change so quickly with the NYPD. The fun part here is that if he was able to get changes made to policies of the Mayor and Police Commissioner of NYC, then I would think that Schenectady should not be much of a problem. We shall see!
